Been to Nagoya before, are there any others?

And yes "good" sushi does exist in buffet form; however, it is rare.
Oki Nago in Metairie was legit in its day.

Sushi Masa on Essen is very good; one of my favorite spots in town. Everything is made to order.

In general sushi is one of the worst buffet foods.

You are much better off finding an all you can eat sushi place

Sushi Masa isn't a buffet, but their all you can eat sushi is an insanely good deal.

I agree. The place was decent and it was my last meal before Katrina. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining but the TV was tuned into the weather channel featuring the impending doom and gloom. I got in my car, was the first to see contraflow on I-10 during my 7 hour drive back to Baton Rouge.

I'll stop in at Nagoya on occasion, but it's not for the sushi at all. I like the peel and eat shrimp and I love the frog legs.

Don't over order or you'll have to pay for leftover rolls.

Buffets? Eh. Kaminari by LSU is good for what it is, but it's not great. At $11 for lunch and $16 for dinner, it's oretty reasonable for what you get.

However, there are 2 really good all you can eat places:
Sushi Masa is the GOAT
Kamado and Golden Dragon is not quite as good as Masa but it is a little less expensive, less crowded, and typically has no wait.

was coming to say what the guy said above

look for an all you can sushi place, but not a buffet. thats the best deal plus much more sanitary.

sushi isnt a food that fills you up, i know i can eat 6-8 rolls easy

I know too many people who have gotten food poisoning from Sushi Masa. I went once and wasn't impressed. The idea is great but their sushi wasn't great and while I am sitting around waiting for sushi to be made I am getting full and I am worrying about not eating all my food and getting charged. Not for me and once I heard the 10th story of food poisoning I vowed to never go back.

I could never get myself to go to Masa with Ichiban's in the same parking lot and Sushi Yama right around the corner.

Good deal or not, those are the two best places to get Sushi in town.

I've eaten at Sushi Masa dozens of times and I've never had any problems. Went last week and it was better than ever.

You are better off going outside and dragging your balls through broken glass
