Some good looking food. If it's made with lard, it's probably delicious like the fried food at Casamento's. Go to the Fork thread stickied at the top of the page if you want to go on an health food rant.

I don't know him, but his show sure as hell boosts some local Mom and Pops. I like his show. Good for him that he's been successful.

That article was great. I hate that greasy douchebag and I can imagine the food at his restaurants blows goats. "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives" is a great concept, but it sucks that cheesy a-hole hosts it.

Lot's of jelly people around here, Otis. They also appear to feel their manhood threatened, easily.

This. I've never seen his show, never eaten at his restaurant, and never (knowingly) prepared one of his recipes.

But it sounds like he's found a niche and has been successful at promoting himself and his product, and made a bunch of money while doing so.

I can respect that without even having to try his food.

So true. I love Guy and his shows. He makes some good looking food on Guy's Big Bites. Plenty of haters who think he's too "low brow" for the blue bloods of TD.

They can all go shoot up with Bordain and bitch because no one thinks his burned out, ex rocker look is "cool"

The first comment on the article is awesome:

I took a few minutes off from my Timehouse to read this article about one of the most bad arse dudes in the USA. While pounding a cool one and listenin' to some Seger, I came to find out to my dismay that the corncob who wrote this didn't have a nice thing to say about Guy Fieri. Not cool, you guys. Joshua David Stein probably hasn't seen a pair of chest beefers in his entire life.

So he's cheesy. He's worked his arse off, AND, he gives major exposure to small businesses. Yes, he has spiky hair and wears shirts with dragons on em', but from what I can tell, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I'd rather hang out and have dinner with that guy than that condescending, pretentious a-hole that wrote the article. Even Iron Man ate a cheeseburger.

the man who "does so much for local business" is the same man who just opened a 500 seat fat farm in the heart of time square. Pretty much sums up guy right there

So. What?

Where is the outrage direct? Because he has high calorie foods? The Chicken and eggplant Parmesan at Copelands has 3100 Calories, I don't see anyone up in arms over that.
People can eat what they want, don't limit choices.

He has done a lot for restaurants.

Ask Katie's, Sammie's the Joint and the Rivershack ALL have seen a boom in tourist business. There is a reason a few of them sell Guy Shirts and all of him have mention of his being there displayed prominently.

Seriously. The man has done so much for the restaurants he puts on his show, which in return helps promote local businesses. I don't get the hate, unless it is jealousy.

His act just annoys me, but I'll concede your point . . . I guess.

He does like Casamento's a lot which gives him some credibility.

I like Guy just fine, but better than Anthony Bourdain? I love, love, love Bourdain and his cocky attitude! Last season's final episode of No Reservations was awesome.

Frankly they all suck. I just watch for the restaurants and because they don't have any real cooking shows left.

I watch LPB3 Create and catch Pepin', New Scandinavia Cooking, Lydia's Italy, Beshs, Hubert Keller and Americas Test kitchen along with all the old Julia Childs. Much better than Food Network.

Bourdain is moving to CNN after this season.
