Hey y'all. Looking at asking someone out on a 1st date. I'm thinking of bringing her to a dinner and movie (BREC city park/live music/silent film event). Trying to figure out something that's not too far away but has some really good food. Thanks

all I have to add is that a movie on a 1st date is an awful idea.

It is a terrible idea, Going some place that serves some small plates and has good drinks is a great idea.

Took the wife to see "Love Story" on our first date. Had no idea what the movie was about, only that it had been sold out every viewing for the past few days. We were in the lobby when the crowd exited and every lady there was sobbing - openly crying. I thought Oh-Crap what have I gotten myself into.

44+ years later still married.

Second movie we saw was Dr. Zhivago. Better choice.

Agree with whoever says no movie on the first date. You want to sit mostly quietly next to her for half the evening?

Doesn't matter where you go bc I highly doubt you'll get a second date with a plan like this

It's not JUST movie. Dinner first and then it's not like it's as quiet as a movie theater. It's on a field somewhere in city park and there's a live band playing an original score to the silent movie.

How does she look?

Pinetta's is a win-win. Food is great, and plus, if she's not that good looking you won't be able to tell because the lighting is poor in there

First, if I go to a movie on the first date, there probably won't be a second one. A movie outside in a field in the humidity is even worse.

Do what Glass said.

Movie on a first date. Not a good idea. 1st date is supposed to be about getting to know each other. This isn't high school when your first date is going to the top row of a movie theater, making out, and hoping for a handie

Eat at a restaurant together, but stay at the restaurant. Go somewhere with live music and have dinner and dance with her
