I did, as well, the "most important" made the list silly.

I doubt the guy has eaten at many of these restaurants lately.

Antoine's is a historic grand dame restaurant which isn't as good as it used to be from my last experiences there. Historically, it's important. Food wise, it's lost that spot, in my opinion.

Pascal's Manale has long since lost the importance related to the BBQ shrimp other than being the first to make the dish, I believe. Today, that dish is awful, flavorless and oily, though the shrimp are still expertly cooked as far as "doneness" and are beautiful. The oysters rock remain as one of my favorite versions and I happen to love oysters rock. They used have crabmeat rock as an entree. It was terrific. Buttery jumbo lump crabmeat in a gratin dish topped with the rock sauce. No longer on the menu.

I clicked the link just HOPING Pascal's wouldn't be on it…although was there ever any doubt??
