I would guess not real. I'd expect to see seepage and the need for a pump, like in that youtube of the guy in Arkansas who built a levee and moat for his house.

ETA: Apparently it's real, according to the linked article.

the only thing that would make that cooler would be someone standing outside of the levee and a COME AT ME BRO at the bottom.

badass. I wonder how much money and time it took to build those. If i were the homeowners I would just leave those levees up around their houses in case there ever is another flood decades from now.

a guy that owns a alligator farm near little prairie, la pretty much did the same thing around his home.

his doesnt look that high but it is at least 6-7 feet and goes around a very large piece of property

Did he not get the same memo as everyone else? How do you make a levee and then not make it tall enough?
