I plan on snagging him in the 4th or 5th. I usually draft heavy WR first so I end up with ok RBs. I'll take Ellington and Gerhart as my RB with Calvin, Dez and Alshon at WR.

More insight I found on Ellington

He's not an every-down back; you're going to be relying on big plays and his scoring projects to be inconsistent

Arizona was dead-last in rushing yards last season and second to last in rushing attempts.

Arizona's offensive line is mediocre in the run game and poor in the categories relevant to Ellington

Taylor and/or Dwyer will most likely get the red-zone looks as Ellington had extremely low utilization there last season

Ellington was fairly ineffective facing his divisional foes last season (who all boast stout rushing defenses), and this season he also gets the Lions, Eagles, Broncos and Giants (all top-10 rushing defenses last season)

Why do you use last year's stats for guys who were rookie backups? It's dumb and has no bearing on this season if they are going to be the starter getting the bulk of the carries.

As for the OL ARZ get LG Jonathan Cooper back from injury (Mike Mayock clamored for him to get #1 overall consideration in 2013) and add Jordan Veldheer at tackle. Their left side of the line will be very good.

As for facing the tough run, look at his schedule in 2014

Rank in terms of giving up points to fantasy RBs

Denver 17th
NYG 20th
STL 26th
SD 14th
WAS 27th
OAK 29th
DAL 32nd
ATL 24th
KC 18th
PHI 12th

That is a cupcake schedule.

SEA and SF are the only top 10 DEF vs fantasy RBs he will face this season. And like someone mentioned, SF is week 17, when no one plays in fantasy.

Arizona isnt a run first team. You're putting way too much risk in drafting him as your 3rd or 4th player on your team. I'll take him possibly in the 6th round or later.

My pick is coming up in the 7th. He is still on the board.

PPR. Currently I've got

Calvin
Dez
Murray
Bush
Foles and
Jennings

Should I snag this hype machine guy or grab a TE or some depth at WR?

Thanks. Never seen these before. They are hilarious. Will be lots of use in my pre-draft proganda campaign.

Ellington never reached 225 carries in a college season, but was frequently injured at Clemson. A severe toe injury cost him nearly half of his sophomore year, and he underwent post-season surgery to repair a ligament tear and fractured sesamoid bone.

He played through an ankle injury as a junior and had surgery after the year. Ellington battled a bad hamstring as a senior, followed by setbacks during the 2013 pre-draft process. He suffered a concussion in 2013 training camp. He missed a game with a sprained MCL. He missed practice time with knee and thigh injuries.

Sports Injury Predictor's algorithm has identified Ellington as one of the four likeliest running backs to suffer a 2014 injury
