re: Zion's bubble injury kept secret from team(coaches)?

Williamson’s relationship with Griffin had also begun to sour. Although they communicate infrequently now, Griffin tried hard in Williamson’s rookie year to forge a bond. One example: During the Pelicans’ bubble stay, Griffin asked to meet with Williamson and played the piano for him.
What is this, romantic comedy?

I’ve soured on Zion a lot recently. The fact that he lets all this shite be said, without saying a word… his silence is all I need to hear

Yikes. I gave Griff and Zion both huge benefit of the doubt these past few years but I have no reason not to believe these reports coming out. This franchise is just a total shitshow. Being a Pels fan is pain.

Yes he's young, only 20 or 21 and just completed year 2. But if he and his family want to call the shots like some of the elite of the elite do, then you need to do shite like show up to work in shape and be a leader. Instead he's showed up out of shape, and while other team members are bonding and working out together, he's distancing himself from them.
The problem is that doesn’t matter to anyone outside of Nola. Look at Davis. Any issue had here will be drawn up to oh Nola’s so shitty, who WOULD give effort there. Or something along those lines.
I think it’s pretty obvious there’s issues. But I promise you one thing, start winning and the talk goes away pretty quick,

The team doesn't need Zion to do PR and damage control, it needs Zion to be MVP caliber. It is disappointing that Zion could be more invested and lead more and isn't. But if fans aren't happy with how the team has managed the last 2 years, why do we expect Zion to be happy about it and profess his eternal, unconditional love for all things Pelicans?
The AD era failed largely because we needed AD to be something he isn't. If Zion is going to be a fair weather star then the Pels need to focus on making sure the weather is fair. Being mad at Zion for not being the next Jordan won't change a thing, acceptance of who Zion is and adjusting accordingly might.

At the end of the day, it's really all that matters. Everything else is just noise, you are correct there.

Every era is the same. The guy in charge keeps fumbling over the roster moves during the window they have to keep their star player. We like to blame the players but the people in charge are largely responsible for the fallout.

Idk man. At this point, I don’t think winning and/or firing Griff solve it. Bottom line, Zion and his family have never wanted him here and he will never want to be here and his family will only continue to pressure him and the org until he’s traded.

It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. Zion doesn’t want to be here and so the team won’t win enough for him to want to be here. Zions definitely not the problem but his disinterest in the org will seal his fate here.

I’m not sure I have the energy to defend this franchise or Zion anymore.
Just win. Or don’t and fire people.

Yep. All of this sucks, but if they go out and win this year I'm sure we'll be seeing articles in May about how management and players came together and overcame adversity to succeed. The narrative is always based on what have you done for me lately. Ain't nobody publishing shite about James Dolan or Robert Sarver this off-season.

I hope this will shut up all the people who talk shite about BI on here. At least the man works hard and shows some form of leadership and desire to be here. Unlike the big baby Zion

Let’s hope that’s all it takes because I’m not 100% confident at this point if winning is enough for him and his family. Unless we’re actually competing for titles

The saddest part is, when Zion does eventually end up somewhere else, I bet he shows up built like Kilmonger, leading offseason workouts.
