I hope this will shut up all the people who talk shite about BI on here. At least the man works hard and shows some form of leadership and desire to be here. Unlike the big baby Zion

I'm really not buying the BI words so hard narrative until I see him put fort any kind of effort on defense.

I mean just working with teammates during the offseason and being a part of the team during summer league is better than this shite. At least there’s some unity involved. If Zion looks fat as shite again a week from now I’m done with this clown

Just open it up in reader view and you won’t have to deal with the paywall.

All those saying just win, this team is on track to do just that, it's been 2 fricking years, Lebron didn't make the playoffs his first 2 years, the Jordan Bulls weren't the Jordan Bulls his first 2 years, it just has to play out. I believe Griff has a good plan, it just hasn't been executed right.

His gut last year told him to go with Charles Lee as HC, he allowed himself to be talked into Stan by JJ. He botched that signing, but again, his gut instinct was the right move, which is what he used in the Willie Green hire.

As far as for Zion, I'm about ready to just trade him for a DAMN good player and picks, and just move on. We will never hear the end of it. He's not holding up his end of the bargain. In his end of season PC he said he would be working out with Ingram and team, he instead traveled the country and went to every high school and avoided his teammates.

That's not the type of player we need, we need stars that are 110% bought into the organization, like Ingram.

JJ himself on his podcast said he went in Griff's office before the hire and vouched for Stan and that he felt Stan was the right guy that could get the team bought in and to play hard.

So should I take JJ's word for it, or yours?

Where in this post does it state that JJ influenced Griff's decision? And even if it did, that's per JJ and no one else.

Griff also alluded to it in his press conferences when Stan was hired...

And in his post he said JJ didn't want Stan, which is unequivocally false, as stated by JJ himself.

Now the guy who's been fat for his entire NBA career, won't show up to any of the team's offseason workouts together, ghosted BI and Vinson in Phoenix, was in Vegas for Summer league, but didn't meet with his teammates and has no relationship with the front office.
So, are you just assuming all of this?

Christian Clark's reporting on how shitty Griffin's tenure here has been, and how many in the organization have turned on him.

Griffin basically has no relationship with Zion and they don't really speak.

Zion showed up fat from the day 1 of summer league after we drafted him, and turned on the organization with how cautious they were over his knee injury. Showed up ever fatter to the bubble and we hid another injury at the request of his family.

I've said it before but it almost impossible for these past two years to have gone any worse. A fraud POBO. A franchise player who's been fat or injured for his entire time here, his psycho parents, and somehow less leadership ability than Anthony Davis. At least AD showed up to team workouts. shite is ridiculous.

C'mon man it's you're trying to be as negative as possible. I'm not saying the Zion situation is that great but it's better than how you're acting

The nola.com article wasn't the negative article I thought it'd be from the headline. It stated some obvious stuff (performance has been underwhelming, Zion relationship is weird, etc) and the stuff it "revealed" doesn't sound so negative. Griffin has tried to create some relationship with Zion but it's not worked. Yeah, can say some of it like the piano thing are weird but it was at least an effort. There's plenty to question about the roster and coaching decisions but there's plenty in there indicating the organization doesn't sound "toxic." Griffin has tried to create a caring atmosphere and passed out some books to try to help rally the team? Maybe weird but for sure not "bad."

Regarding the bubble injury, you'd think the way the Pelicans handled it would improve the team's relationship with Zion by protecting his reputation by coddling. And Zion didn't like his injury and "bursts" management but he's been mostly since he played his first game here (finfer injury at end of year having nothing to do with how medical team has managed him). I think that only shows that the medical team has handled him properly. When he does have issues with weight and the hamstring that sounds entirely like Zion's responsibility.

It reads like it was started as some "hit piece" but writer could only get a few low level staffers to say a few things that amount to mostly a nothingburger.

I'll keep banging this drum.

The Pels are never going to win shite with an entitled American player.

We need to get lucky and find a Dirk, Giannis or Duncan (I know he was born in USVI, but still not the AAU attitude).

Pels need a superstar checklist:

No Klutch clients
No parents/siblings/cousins/uncles employed as nutritionist, shooting coach, trainer, etc.
No player whose primary hobby is "fashion"
No one dating anyone associated with the Kardashians
No one who grew up in L.A.,NYC, Miami, Chicago
Preferably, someone who grew up overseas and has never been on an AAU team.

I know as much about Zion as anyone else here and as anyone trying to report on it, which is nothing. But I def feel like these preseason tweets and articles have very little merit and most likely it's nowhere near as bad as it seems
