I knew an Indian man that went home for his sister’s wedding - he came back with some parasite - crazy
He almost died twice and lost half his weight

India is a disgusting country. This should surprise no one.
India was a centrally planned economy for decades leading to the usual result of central planning - poverty. India started liberalizing (classical liberalism, not the co-opted bullshite that is the Democrat party) in the 90s and made huge advances, but has recently tried to implement more central planning. If they can get back to liberalization, they will be the largest economy in the world in the next couple of decades.

And yeah, avoid river fish as food in those areas of the world too as they have adapted to eating decaying people and learned to stage downstream certain areas of rivers.(much like fish here have learned to hang around boat ramps/docks for the scraps from fisherman cleaning their catch)
