What plays do you like?
I like em all coach
Yeah, but which ones are your favorites?
I’m ready. I like em all!
No plays on the disc

Jamarcus was amazing in college. I remember we had so many comeback victories between 04 and 07, with Randall, Russell, and Flynn. This season was amazing, but those early Miles years I had a ton of fun.
The comeback victories from Jamarcus came because he under preformed in the previous quarters.
I was a huge fan of his talent but the Raiders ruined him by the #1 pick. He's 2nd round at best

Jamarcus did Jamarcus in.

This. Did anyone watch his first few games with the Raiders? It was like NFL street out there it was chaos.
You mean like evey qb ever drafted #1? They go to bad teams

I believe he was a top notch HS and College level QB. Reading NFL defenses was not his strong pernt! But,

You do realize the entire story on the movie ‘Draft Day’ is based on Jamarcus Russell right? The Raiders had nothing but red flags and drafted him anyway. And this is coming from a guy who was a huge fan of Russell at LSU.

Jamarcus had some major issues, but the raiders were and are a terrible organization...

He had an unbelievable arm but a brain better suited for spotting leprechauns in trees.
You can get away with talent alone in college, not the NFL.
Juwalrus killed himself, which is why when he was released and became an unrestricted free agent with relatively low miles on his tires not a single team signed him.

Didn’t he show up to training camp at like 280

Jimbo sure as hell didn’t develop him.
so jimbo never developed him at LSU?
are you really this stupid?
you think college coaches are responsible for them in the pros now?

I agree except for the fact he was lazy af, relying on his arm talent and that's it.

Neither was recognizing college defenses. He depended on his amazing arm strength and accuracy. If I remember correctly, the last pass he threw for LSU, vs Notre Dame, he threw into triple coverage.
Most of the time he could get away with it in college.

The death of his surrogate father killed Jamarcus’s career. The Raiders helped by being a shite franchise. He was over a thousand miles from home with no stabilizing force and lots of cash all while being heaped with pressure and expectations beyond an amount that his relatively fragile psychological base could withstand.

I just think it's rough to label him one of the biggest busts of all time.
Name me ten other bigger bust than him. Hell, you won't be able to name five.

Apparently you are.

Maybe he was a bit lazy and arrogant, thinking he could get by on talent alone like he did in college but I think he would’ve done better on a team with more talent around him.
He wasn’t “a bit lazy”; he was lazy as hell!!! And no, Jamarcus Russell could not have made it anywhere in the NFL because he was LAZY!
Posted on 5/4/20 at 6:51 am to Jamarcusforpresident
It’s both of their faults. Oakland was a shite franchise that developed no one. However, Jamarcus was lazy. He didn’t do anything to help himself. At some point you have to take responsibility for your own success or failures.

Who was the coach during the jamarcus days for raiders? Lane kiffin?

I just think it's rough to label him one of the biggest busts of all time. It's not like he was great at LSU so it's more on the Raiders to misjudge talent.
His work ethic is what killed his NFL career. At the college level, he could win on talent alone. In the NFL that work ethic was never going to be successful. No matter what team he would play for.
