Fwiw, that is a joke. I have always said Montana is the goat QB

Brady and Montana are very comparable in their skill sets, imo. Average arm strength, excellent accuracy, competitors with high football IQ, greatly benefited from being drafted by the teams that they were.

Montana thrived in the Bill Walsh West Coast offense. You could argue that he may have never had the career that he had if he'd gone somewhere else, either.

I personally think Brady has a great arm. The ball comes out tight and quick when it leaves his hand

Brady certainly has above average arm strength.

I'd put Brees closer to average.

And Rodgers, well, he's Rodgers.

Except he did go somewhere else and have 2 very productive years at the tail end of his career. It was a "West Coast" system, but he did not have the WR he had in San Francisco. He had a very good RB, but as a group they weren't as good as San Francisco's either.

Montana had above average arm strength, just he was not required to throw it downfield as much.

Rodgers for me but, I not gonna pretend it's not close, especially with the provisions described in the OP regarding the talent and coaching around them.

Rodgers because of at age 21 you have no idea what there future is. All you have to go by is measurables and college career.

Ehh, as an old man, Montana went to KC and still had a top 5 passer rating

Rodgers is the better QB, but not sure it is that simple.

1- Brady's voluntary salary discounts pays for a top 10 safety salary
2- Bradys "win at all costs" mentality sets the tone for his team
3- Brady playoff performances=clutch

No idea how you measure any if that is the thing.

It can be measured, it is called defense

Brady has had an average defensive ranking of 7, with Rodgers at 15.

Brady has had 12 top 10 scoring defenses, Rodgers has had 2.

You are confusing "clutch", with having a better defense.

For example, Bradys defense last year against the Falcons gave up 21 points, Rodgers defense gave up 44 points.

Brady went to OT, and Rodgers lost. If Rodgers defense gave up only 21 points, guess what would have happened? The game would have been tied 21-21 and it would have gone to OT(actually, GB likely wins in regulation because if their defense gave up 23 less points it means they would have had the ball that much more)..........

I was talking about going somewhere else in the draft. Montana did what he did in KC playing in basically the same offense that he'd played in his whole career. Him going to KC is comparable to Favre going to Minnesota, pushed out by younger talent.

It is hard to discount Brady’s Super Bowl success; however, I think Brees and Rodgers are the better talents. That doesn’t mean I don’t think Brady is not one of the All-Time greats. I think he would have still been elite elsewhere.

I feel confident Brees would have won a bunch of Super Bowls with the Patriots and Belichik also.

Brees and Brady's career numbers are so close, with Brady basically slightly better across the board.

But yea, if you swapped their teams the last 15 years, anyone being logical would say that Brees would have better numbers, more SB wins, and thought of as the better QB.

Brady couldnt make that first down scramble that Rodgers did last weekend against Dallas, nor could he complete that pass to the TE in the playoff game in Dallas (last year) right before the field goal.

There's just some shite that Rodgers does that is absolutely unreal.

I mean are you saying brady can't scramble and throw a pass that far?
They playbooks are designed differently for each qb.
I could just as easily say Rodgers could never come back from 28-3. See how this works?
