They'll track her activities and find she probably went to the store for beer and cigarettes, and forgot them in the car.

All that being said, if she made the mistake, why would she have to smash the window?

No, no they cannot. They lack both the height and strength.

The brain is a funny thing.

Go read the stats on it. There really is very little difference across numerous demographics.

It doesn't seem to matter your race, education level, socioeconomic status.

However, one of the most common ways it occurs is when people have a change in their daily routine. Their brain goes into auto pilot, and sleeping kids get forgotten about.

This is really tragic, and shouldn't be lumped in with idiots who intentionally leave kids in the car to run an errand.

And she wants us to believe either this 2 year old did this with a cell phone in 1 hand or a 1 year had a cell phone in 1 hand and climbed into a car before the 2 year old got in, slammed and locked the door.

I had my bullshite meter calibrated just last week and it is currently pegged in the red on this one.

Can he close the door behind him? Keep in mind that the door had to have been open far enough/long enough for BOTH kids to climb in, which means it probably would not have closed by itself. I could almost picture a scenario where ONE kid was able to open the door enough to get inside, and then the door closed by itself behind her as she was climbing in, but since there was more than one kid, this whole thing doesn't seem plausible.

I'm guessing part of the investigation will be to see whose fingerprints were where on the doors.

My 2 year old grand daughter is playing in my home right now. She can't reach a door knob and wouldn't be able to turn it if she could. She could not open a car door. Just saying. Something is horribly wrong in this tragedy.

There is nothing innocent about forgetting small children. I am a father of 3 and I promise that at no time has my wife or I forgot that our kids were in the car. I don't really understand how that happens. I am far from a perfect parent but this is a mistake that just shouldn't happen.

By innocent I mean she didn't purposely try to kill them. Like she didn't lock them in the hot car and watch them suffer

So a 1 and 2 yr old were left in the house unattended for a long time. During this time, the 1&2 year old raided the mothers unattended purse to get keys and cell phone, then escaped the house through a presumably unlocked exterior door and the 2 yr old opened an unlocked car door, climbed in, waited for the 1 yr old, then shut the door and locked it, but then could not reopen the door when it was so hot that they were dying?

This is the worst cover story ever. She couldn't possibly think this wouldn't be pegged as bullshite immediately. Thankfully she's going to jail.

Depends what kind of car the kids got into. Some car doors are easy to open and shut. I have two 3 year olds, and my daughter was getting in cars and shutting doors by herself as a 2 year old.

bullshite dude.

Maybe you've never left them in the car. Neither have I.

But saying you've never forgotten they were in the car is crap.

This will haunt her forever . BUT she let her two babies die because she was to involved with something else..... I may be old school but if you have children, THEY should be your number one priority.... cell phones, computers, social media, or a boyfriend/ girlfriend a dispute with one of them, means NOTHING...... screw her and everything to do with her... those poor helpless children.....

If they are that easy to open and shut, then the kid would have opened the door back up when he/she was roasting to death.

You don't think any parent has ever done that accidentally? That's ridiculous.

I agree... people get too emotional when trying to be rational when thinking about thier own kids, but it has no doubt been 'accidental', just like it has been 'intential', as well as 'negligent'

No, kids are pretty dumb. They can get in, but then act like they don't know how to get out

I understand how kids are forgotten in cars. If a routine changes, and kids are asleep...yeah it can happen to imperfect people.

But forget that, and forget whether or not a 2 year old can open a car door. How do you let your ONE YEAR OLD alone long enough to go outside, get in a car, and roast? Bitch should have been on them after a few minutes and got them both out, warm but otherwise fine.

But IMO this bitch just wanted a child-free life and this was her solution.

If its possible for one it is possible for 2 or more.

Lets say how the car is parked...the doors shuts due to gravity.

2 year old holds door for 1 year old to get in....then wiggles in between the door and frame with the door shutting behind him/her....

What is that gonna prove?

Its the family car.....everyone's fingerprints are gonna be all over it.
