I took swim lessons in the summer at little red schoolhouse.
Joel Rundell was in every class with me from 5th grade until graduating high school. Killing himself right before BtE took off was heart breaking.

In the early to mid 70s:
Wednesday was quarter beer night at Sports Lounge out in Lakeshore...
Nick's Barbeque on DeSiard east of the college had great lasagna...
25 cent ham sandwiches at Handee Mart on DeSiard across from the school were awesome...
Ray Pierce worked at the Pitt Grill before he opened Pee Gees.... Pitt Grill to PeeGee's.
Toto's sold a JDF -- "Jumbo, Drink and Fries" for a buck... and a guy would deliver it to the dorm!

I had a countdown to the end of the semester. Realized after a couple weeks there I had make a MASSIVE mistake going there.

No mention of The Bleachers yet
Was there the night it opened. Classes were cancelled because we had snow and freezing rain. Stayed wasted all day and went there every night that week. Saw Zebra in there one night that week. It was so crowded, we had to park over at Luffy Medical Supply.
After that semester started with that hard partying week, I made the lowest grades since my freshman year at LSU. True story.

Me and you must have shared time at some of these places. They were all on my go to list.
How about the Chelsea street pub and grille, in the mall. I used to hit that spot up in karaoke nights.

I don't remember where it was located. I was really young but remember my uncle taking us when we would visit. The water slide was carved into a hill or something. Kids would jump over the side of the slide like a ramp with their mats. I think.

They forced out Miss Nell claiming the airport needed office space then let the mayor's buddy open it back up. Not sure if it's still open.
