OK, here is a wild theory, but the fact this woman who's suing had to hire an attorney from Boulder, Colorado, tells me that there's tremendous political pressure within the state of Texas by Baylor backers (there's plenty) and no lawyer here would touch it with a 10-foot pole. Here's the jump: big Baylor backer with a big dick to swing is former state Sen. David Sibley, who's linked to the Bush family through "the ranch." Probably some daughters of influential Baylor backers would be identified as liking to lay down with black recruits and take one for the team (usually willingly, but not always, as we can see here).

I mean if we want to go all conspiracy theory, this the same lawyer that has represented others in lawsuits against Baylor and smells blood in the water. They waited 3.5 years to file a lawsuit and Clune has a law firm with Christopher Ford in colorado. Ford is a TCU grad and it's five days before NSD.

Someone resurrect Janet Reno and tell her there's another disgusting cult in Waco that needs burning to the ground.

quote:

She says that Chatman was accused of rape once before and the university failed to intervene. In that case, the suit says, a student athletic trainer reported that Chatman raped her at his off-campus apartment, so the university moved the trainer to a female sports team and agreed to pay for her education in exchange for a non-disclosure agreement.

"Congratulations! You have won the "Shut Up About Being Raped By A Baylor Football Player" scholarship!!!

Other highlights from the new lawsuit -

quote:

On more than one occasion, a BAYLOR Bruin hostess was impregnated by a
member of the football team.

How many occasions?

quote:

BAYLOR had both notice and control over the context of the sexual harassment
and violence perpetrated by its football players.

quote:

BAYLOR paid for the off-campus housing, which was the location of most of the
sexual assaults, by use of a housing stipend credited to the athletes’ accounts.

Shut. It. Down.

Oh, another lawsuit was filed this week by a second former Title IX investigator against Baylor.

Agreed. Some money passed around but somehow that's worse than this. But remember allegedly Craig James killed five hookers while at SMU...... allegedly

Baylor made a deal with the devil for football prowess..... now it's time to pay for their sins.

that has nothing to do with the death penalty. The death penalty isn't given out on how "bad" something is judged to be. It's been nicknamed the death penalty but it's actually called the repeat offender penalty. It's for schools who are sanctioned by the NCAA, and then turn around and get sanctioned again. I absolutely would support a change for shite like this but that's why you aren't seeing that here

Honestly, that number seems outlandishly high and I'm skeptical as to how they came up with the figure as well as the woman's motives. Maybe more will come to light but that article didn't do anything except prove Baylor's recruiting tactics were disgusting.

It didn't prove anything. These are all allegations made by a plaintiffs lawyer in a civil case.

Yes sexual assaults by student athletes on the football team occurred, 2 student athletes while at Baylor have been found guilty. 1 is likely to win an appeal and have a retrial because of prosecutorial misconduct, which will only continue to keep this scandal in the spotlight (not a bad thing). LINK

Yes, I am a fan of Baylor and yes I think it was absolutely abhorrent that this happened. Yes Briles should of been fired. Yes, he should never coach again. Yes, school wide changes need to be made. 100+ changes have been made at Baylor since this all came to light. LINK

No, I do not believe at this time that there were 52 rapes by 30 different football players 3.5 years ago.
