Sorry I missed this discussion, but it's gone just the way I expected anyway. Bunch of idiots mad that a hyper-political entity is being told to pipe down by its boss. The EPA is a weapon used by the president. Always has been. The president steers them in the direction he wants to go. All this is is a big stop sign until they get the NEW marching orders.

He will only accept data that fits his narrative. Very Communist if you ask me.

Only wants to see data that is anti global climate change, anti vaccine, anti breastfeeding, etc.. talk about a dictatorship.

Sure. For example.. cracking down on environmental criminals instead of focusing on climate change.

But are you telling me Trump... Didn't have a plan? Like cmon.

And I had this crazy notion that the EPA worked for the people, not Trump. They're accountable to the taxpayers, not the God Emperor.

You seem very naive and not terribly well-informed.

I can't believe there are really people who don't see this as an infinitely scarier proposition than a similar agency having its ultimate oversight an individual who is politically accountable to the entire nation.

OK Anakin, tell me more how you would like to take the power from the people's hands and give it to one wise individual who will protect us from bad information.

Oh I'm sure he has/had a specific plan. Pushing the globalists view of climate change/global warming as its mission probably isn't it though.

I have no issue with POTUS having oversight of the EPA and like agencies. Appointing leads and whatnot.

I have a problem with the POTUS using them as a political mouthpiece though.

Always have, and always will.

Here's another post bleeding with naivete all over the place from . . . wherever.

The EPA is a totally Leftist politicized agency of the Executive Branch -- Obama created this monster. NOW, an adult is in charge and as POTUS, Trump will slay this Leftist Beast.

I'm not naive, just an idealist who knows that's the way it should be. I know that Trump and really anyone who has been President the past 100 years doesn't want to do this.

As George Carlin put it:

And any president who does that to the detriment of the nation will reap the whirlwind. That's how this works.

EPA's been a Leftist entity for many years now. Finally we have somebody with the balls to fix it and make it work for the best interests of the USA.

No.

Nonpartisan pragmatic interests are best for the USA. Shy of that utopian ideal, a balance between political factions is probably best.
