You want proof that God doesn't exist, or if he does, that he's a shithead? Go visit a children's hospital. All the pain and suffering in the world, much of it inflicted on innocent people, and we're supposed to believe that there's this all knowing and all loving being that cares about every soul.

It's a control mechanism. Plain and simple. Don't act the way we want and you will be sentenced to eternal damnation.

that would be if christianity were real too bad there were countless religions before it with basically the same story. There is a god, something great created us, but all religions are pretty much comical. I dont know how anyone can believe in christianity when we've never seen or heard from god, yet he spoke to his people constantly in the bible. Then when you tack on all the religions with the same virgin birth, resurrection after death story, etc that were well before christianity, its not hard to see that its indeed not true. Who knows what we happen when we die but dont let the christians scare you, I used to be one growing up, its silly stuff.
