Well considering there isn't a place called 'hell', I'd venture to say no

Hell as a concept of a place where God sends people to be tortured for eternity does not make sense as a Christian concept. The idea that Hell is some sort of self imposed isolation from God makes better sense, but it is still pretty questionable.

I've become more comfortable with the idea the last little while. It used to cause me a lot of anxiety, but it doesn't seem so bad anymore.

One of the 10 commandments: Thou shalt not kill (including yourself)

kill (râtsach, Heb.) - to put to death

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, [that] I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life

I get anxious sometimes about it. But if you think about it, we lose consciousness every night when we go to sleep.

Also I think for the most part your mind and body will gradually drift away for some time (days, years, months) before you die and you'll kind of naturally fade out of consciousness.

We go back up to the mother ship. Memories get erased and our bad qualities get reprogrammed.

I thought god had a plan for everyone? I wouldn't imagine if there is a god that he would send someone to hell for that. Seems like most people who kill themselves are actually decent people. Child abusers, rapists, unfaithful spouses and murderers seem hell bound in my opinion.

Visiting a children's hospital will also put you in the company of a significant number of parents whose only coping mechanism for dealing with the pain and suffering of their child is their faith in God, and many highly trained physicians that believe god has lead them to their work in that hospital. Would it be better for them to abandon that faith?

Yes. But if God judges us by what we do instead of by what his son has done, then we all are up shite creek.

Suicide is a sin and sinners go to hell. But Christ died for our sins so we won't have to go to hell. But as Paul points out, this doesn't give us an excuse to continue to sin.

In my mind i would certainly hope that God wouldn't damn an already tortured soul to Hell.

I believe the only hell a person who commits suicide is the hell on earth that experienced that led them to commit suicide. I do not see it as a sin or something they will be punished for
