Assuming we're talking about the most athletic position in each sport, and by athletic we mean the likelihood that they'd be good at the other sports, I'd argue:
Baseball
Basketball
Football
0/10

Basically this IMO. Being quick and strong is pretty much a baseline for all of the best of the best in each sport, so ranking the subset of skills is the way I approached it.

Basketball, football (using the law of averages for each position), baseball.
The d back 7 and o skill players in football probably get more of a workout though.
Soccer players, especially the midfielders, are basically running a marathon every game they play.

Technically most people could bunt a baseball, maybe even make contact with a swing.
I don't think most people could drive down the lane against a bunch of seven-footers and score.

2. Football
3. Baseball

I define athleticism by all around exertion.
Baseball is easier for an out of shape person, then football then the others.
No fat hockey or soccer players and the only basketball players that are heavy are big centers.

I'm not trolling.
Put it this way - I'd argue Mike Trout is better at basketball than LeBron is at baseball. I'd argue Trout and LeBron are better at football than Patrick Peterson is at basketball or baseball.

I've watched lacrosse a few times on ESPN ... I got worn out just watching them.

So by your definition, your average recreational marathon runner is more athletic than Michael Phelps?
Because Phelps only races for a couple minutes at a time.

Gymnastics requires a lot of athleticism, but it doesn't meet my definition of "sport."

Sports Illustrated did a big article a couple of years ago on the most difficult sport to perform at the elite level. Which may or may not equate with your definition of athleticism and all of the writers agreed that Golf was the most difficult using that criteria.
Which really surprised me since it is a game anyone can play at some level. Their thinking was that physical size, speed, etc didn't really have any bearing on it with golf. It is intricate skill, being able to perform a variety of skills (different types of shots), the need to be extremely consistent and the intense mental game.
