Man he is handling this pretty well.

i agree fully

i give him all the credit in the world for how he's handling this interview

i do think the "2 play call" discussion shows some of the miles-isms though. he has this desire to be "perfect" in certain situations instead of the likely best scenario. a big reason for our time management issues along the way

Dan to les:

Got his work out in this morning. Needs to be productive.

Face to face being fired. He's for the Tigers. If that makes the tigers better then he will accept it.

Miles will support tiger and decision. Beyond fighting for job during firing.

Experiences at LSU too important to fight over. If they feel a change makes it better he won't fight for.

Is last seconds at auburn enable to keep your job. He'd argue that he made moves in final seconds of auburn game. It was longer than just that game.

Miles enjoys working with great coaching staff and great recruits. No undercurrent of possibly being fired happened at the football team.

Joe alleva allowed les miles to talk to players. Gave him opportunity to talk to players. Didn't stay long. Wished them well. Think ed orgeron will do a great job for them. Think job is a blast. Likes developing players. Likes to take players into opponents

Do you do anything different: certainly could do things better. Every time after game reviews game but could always do better.

Do you want to coach again?: doesn't golf. Doesn't tennis. Play cards not very well. 14 hours a day last number of years is coaching football. Wants to be a coach and being involved. Not coaching, there's a plan "C". Find something to do with kids playing around the Country.

Tell successor: how fortunate you are to coach tigers. Represent them and recruit them and expect the best.

Had a great run at LSU and enjoyed himself entire time. First game at Arizona state, Jacob Hester had blocked field goal and scored. Came back from behind to beat Arizona state. Play in that style of game weekend after weekend I don't see any other way.

What are you going to do Saturday: rooting doe Tar Heels, might go to NC game at Florida state to watch son.

Abbreviated talk on call.

That was my guess. At first I thought he had forgotten who his son committed to, but recruiting rules is probably more likely. I think.

Took some lesticles to do that this morning. He was all class. I'll miss him at LSU. I wish he'd be around in some other capacity.

Sounds like he may be open to coaching somewhere else....

A lot of times the buyout requires that he be willing to search and take on future employment.

Im sorry, but a truly selfless man, knowing what you've just stipulated, wouldn't have forced the university to fire him. He'd have stepped down.

Any athlete or coach at that level believes they are the best. He would have pushed on through anything. I wouldn't want a coach any other way. If you don't have that swag, you shouldn't be there. It takes someone else to step in. Look at aging players in nfl for example.

As frustrating as it was to watch the product on the field, I have always liked the man. Wish him the best. Was a great interview by DP. I liked the "What are you going to do Saturday?" question. Les is a stand up man and yes I think he coaches again after that interview.

Having said that glad the school made the move and did not drag it on any further.
