Can't believe we waited all season and not even a flashback episode of what Tyrell has been doing despite not seeing him 12 episodes. The ending was dumb. Of course the guy who won best actor isn't going to be dead.

this season was all over the place. way too much good stuff on my list to binge and catch up on to keep going on season 3.
it had a good run and I still think season 1 is one of the GOAT seasons in TV history, but i aint got time for a 60 minute brainfreeze every Wednesday.

They gone.
Everybody keeps saying this, but haven't all the dark army "hits" we've seen been stealthy drive byes with dudes on bikes dressed in black ready to erase themselves. That's not how this scene went down. Why address them at all if he's just going to kill them? Why not send another group of DA mercenaries? Leon doesn't seem like a guy ready to eat his own bullet at the 1st sign of shite going sideways. And Dom mentioned that the DA hadn't even been the ones to kill Romero--he was hit by a stray bullet. So, it's not like Whiterose is taking out F Society.'

Btw will Dom ever find out that mr. Zhang is the leader of the dark army. She knows that he dresses like a woman.

I also think it's pretty safe to assume that Elliot did time because white rose new his mental condition was slipping.

So was it Romero that died from a stray bullet?
Also I understand Joanna's plan but it seems like a hard sell that he would have decided to murder his wife at a crowded party on the best day of his life.

It's left up to interpretation like a lot of other things, but I think they're dead (or will be soon). Their entire conversation was about undoing everything they've done, which would screw Dark Army's plans.

From Esmails interview he says:
-Eliot is alive
-No clue what side Angela is on
-Hints at Leon not killing those two

Was Leon undercover in jail for Dark Army or something to look out for Elliot?
Posted on 9/22/16 at 11:00 am to JabarkusRussell
Yes. It is a widely popular idea that Leon was in prison solely to protect Eliot.
Posted on 9/22/16 at 11:35 am to Large Farva
I thought it was obvious that Leon was only in prison to protect Elliot when he told Elliot to tell White Rose that he did good by him. And I agree that he is isn't about to kill them, because just like Angela, if the dark army wanted them dead they'd just do it. White Rose knew Angela could help, so she has supposedly converted her, and they are going to try to do the same thing now.

Elliot did time because he hacked and blackmailed the guy in season 1 and stole his dog. The guy who was dating his therapist and was lying to her about his real identity.

Tyrell missing the entire season reminded me of Lost when Desmond disappeared for all of season 2 only to return at the finale.

i know what he was charged with to get him there. I get the impression that if white rose didnt want him in jail, he wouldnt have been.

Didn't Elliot plead guilty so he could be locked up?
I mean, I think Whiterose could have kept him out if she needed him, but Elliot wanted to be there so he could protect himself from Mr. Robot

Amazing show! I had never heard about this show - I vaguely remember seeing it mentioned on here but never read any threads since I never heard of the show. I caught a bit of the Emmy awards a couple weeks ago, saw that Rami Malek won, and saw that the show was nominated for best drama in the company of some of my favorite shows. Decided to give it a go, and my wife and I binge watched for the past 2 weeks. What a ride! Actually my wife went to bed after episode 10 tonight, but I couldn't help myself and finished out the season. I'll definitely do a re-watch of both seasons though after I watch the final 2 episodes again with her tomorrow.
I enjoyed season 2 as a whole more than season 1. Season 1 was certainly more unified and had better pacing, but as many have mentioned, it was definitely a bit derivative (re: Fight Club). I can understand how people may have become a bit lost during season 2 watching week to week, but the season definitely worked very well as a binge watch. I think binging made it much more cohesive and obviously delivered payoffs quickly. The whole prison thing was sheer brilliance. The whole FBI flow chart (thus the fact that they've been following everything all along) was a shocker for me, and I'm surprised that didn't get more attention in the discussion here. And I almost bought into "Tyrell isn't real," but at the end I kinda knew Elliott was taking a bullet to prove that he was. I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons.
I'm a bit surprised that the season 2 finale seemed to leave so many here unsatisfied - I was happy with the way things were wrapped up to end the season, but I'm sure binge watching made it an entirely different experience for me. This show is definitely the biggest mind-frick I've experienced on tv. If I'm searching for something that delivers a similar experience, Peaky Blinders is the only thing that comes to mind...not that the shows are thematically similar in any way - just in terms of having an "edge" to them that most other shows are lacking. I just wish I hadn't stumbled onto the show until season 3 was about to come out - it's going to be a long wait.
