Tyrell and Whiterose have known all along about his multiple personalities. They knew Elliot may get in the way of Mr Robot's plan and had to take action. He shot Elliot to let him know he is not in control.
Did you miss the next scene when Tyrell called Angela and Angela saying she should be the first person to see him when he wakes up?

I think it's reasonable to assume they're dead. Why would white rose track them down if not to eliminate the threat they pose?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Wonder who the guy was that got them the job, or if that is just irrelevant.
I liked the parallel between Whiterose and Tyrell and their belief in fate/destiny with Angela and Elliot.

It sucks we get another cliffhanger but I really don't see another way to end the season. They are ending it in the middle of the story

Interesting, whatever whiterose told Angela to flip her so fast must be absolutely devastating to E-Corp. But of course, that's the big mystery.
Darlene better keep her big mouth shut... I was a little surprised she survived the shooting... Makes me think she still has a role to play for white rose.

That's my biggest beef with this episode. He had to show some swag. I want to know why Angela is on team rose now
