Suggest a trip: Single guy, mid-30's, solo, budget-friendly

Just got out of relationship, and burnt out on life and work. I need to recharge my batteries. Interests are food, beer, music, sports, interesting people/places and women... and I live in New Orleans. I should just stay home, right? Not in to clubbing, hiking or countless hours in museums.
Driving and flying are options. Mountains, beaches, cities, international, whatever. Prefer to keep the budget under $1,500 and don't mind cutting corners with food or lodging. Looking at last week in June.
I've thought of Denver, Chicago, Panama, Mexico
Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Denver or Asheville.
Beer, music, interesting people, and great outdoors nearby.

Are you looking to be social and meet people or just gel out?
NYC is a hell of a lot of fun for a weekend to just get away , have fun, and forget about life back home. It's also incredibly easy to make friends at the bars and there are loads of single ladies. It's even better if you have a friend or two living up there who could show you around.
On that note, do you have any friends living in places you haven't visited? Catching up with an old friend while boozing it in a new city is always fun.
If you're looking to spend a little more money, spend a week in Europe and visit a couple cities you've always wanted to go to.
If you're looking to relax, I'm sure a few people here can point you towards some nice tropical spots. I'd avoid staying in a large resort and instead opt for an Airbnb and just mosey around from beach to bar to bar.

Houston to Manila, Phillipines for $950.
$550 is plenty to survive in Asia for a week and it will be an experience you will never forget.
Houston to Lima, Peru for $580
Hike the Machu Picchu trail and you will forget all about your worries.
$1500 is a very healthy budget if you don't care about lodging too much.
Let your imagination run wild

Portland can give you the city (lots of great restaurants and bars), The mountains (Mt Hood is 75 miles east), and the beach (about 75 miles west). All in the same day, if you want to try that.
Portland is not a clubbing town. Lots of breweries and whiskey bars. Most are on the eclectic side. Restaurants range from tons of food trucks to 5-star places, and everything in between. Many, many wineries close by. You will definitely meet some interesting people, though. You can find some good deals on lodging, or I guess you could just pitch a tent under a bridge...
Women tend to trend towards hipsters or the athletic "girl next door" type. Not many Southern Belle types here.
There is a lot of natural beauty that you don't have to hike to see. Weather is fantastic in the summer.
ETA: Craft beer is huge here, and the craft beer taprooms and breweries are a lot of fun. People are very friendly, and I would recommend going to a few of those and you'll make a lot of friends.

Solo traveling overseas is a lot of fun, on your own schedule "oh this looks cool I wanna check it out", I always find interesting people to talk too. Met two couples one from South Africa and one from Britain/India in Phuket, Two Norwegian chicks while in Turks and Caicos, and funny enough I met a couple that lives 5 miles from me in T&C too.

$1,500 and 7 days?
How about Jamaica, Aruba, Honduras, & Belize.
Less than $1,500 including transportation, lodging, food, etc
Just ride around on a big arse boat to multiple countries, meet a shitload of people in close proximity (thousands to choose from), 24 hour entertainment, etc.

Chicago is still go to spot to recharge (can still be social, but also keep to myself), even though I live in TX.
It's a great summer city, but love going in fall/spring too.
Denver is a nice option as well.

I'll throw San Diego out there...a very chill area with lots to do and hits on all of your major points. Good luck!

To the op- $1500, including airfare and lodging might be tough. If you plan on going to any city, i.e. Chicago, San Diego, Denver a decent room in a desirable area is going to kill you. You can find a motel 6 or something but then you'll be in the suburbs or outskirts. Going to bars to meet women won't be cheap in almost any place where the women are somewhat desirable.
Budget notwithstanding, I'd recommend Chicago. The flight should be dirt cheap. The women there are surprisingly amazing. Tons of things to see and do during the daytime, and they have a great bar scene. Fittingly, you're not interested in hiking or clubbing, which is good because Chicago isn't the place for either activity.
Seattle is a beautiful city as well, somewhat similar to Chicago, although Seattle would be a bit more expensive and I felt in Chicago almost all the desirable destinations were centralized and easier to get around by foot.

I would take a 7 day NCL cruise out of New Orleans. Good food and nightlife. Bars, beaches and no shortage of bikini clad young ladies to rebound with. It is just the thing you need.

I like to travel alone a good bit and Colorado is one of my favorite places to go. Fly into Denver and spend a few days around there checking out LoDo, Rockies baseball game, Denver zoo, etc.
get a car and drive up to Steamboat where you can do some horseback riding, catch a pro rodeo, mountain biking, take a guided fly fishing trip, etc.
