Don't really care what it's called.
Mine is a 2007 with 220,000 miles.
If it didn't need oil changes, there would be no need for a hood that opens.
I tow a 2009 triton 186x bass boat about 20 weekends per year with no issues.
I've been trying to get a new truck for years but my ridgeline just won't act up.

As a Jeep and Toyota enthusiast, I can verify this claim as correct. Also, divorcees, sorority chicks and gays. So if you see someone driving around in a bone arse stock Jeep, chances are they're one of the above.

When I go to see my family up in Colorado I see a shite load of those all over the place. I also see a ton of people in the other OT deemed lesbian car Subaru Outback.
All the people I am seeing up there in them are gay, recently divorced, or sorority girls?

Actually, if I lay my finger over the raised bed portion, it looks okay.
There are more on the road out here in Utah than back in Louisiana. The hard core trail bikers seem to love them. I see a lot racked out for skis too.
I'm a dodge ecodiesel man myself. But I'd drive the Honda 'truck' before buying a Subaru (easily over 50% of the cars on the road in Salt Lake are Subaru).
Be different. Try it out.

It's not a truck. A truck is by definition body-on-frame. The Ridgeline is unibody construction - like a car. It's based on a minivan. The upside of unibody construction is light weight and ride quality. The downside is that it can't haul or tow nearly as much, and repairs for physical damage from a wreck are more expensive because the body IS the frame. If you have to tow a boat or a trailer, or haul your 4wheeler to your camp, or pick up a pallet of sod, you don't want a Ridgeline. If you are never going to do any of that, it's fine.

Not quite a car not quite a truck. They are nice vehicles though. If the bed was a little longer I would want one.
I'm looking to trade the Taco in next year on something newer and with more seating.

I do all of these things, on a very regular basis, with a ridgeline.
In two months, I'll be towing my boat ~1500 miles in 6 days. With zero issues.

It's different in the Mountain West. The same stigma doesn't apply as strongly because there's an actual use for a Subaru out there - a super reliable, high-ground-clearance car or wagon that is mega-capable on snowy roads. That's those people's real lives. Subarus aren't driven in snow or off pavement in Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, etc, so they become a niche car favored by a certain segment of the population.

If you really haul a pallet of sod with a Ridgeline you're endangering yourself and the public. I don't believe you actually do though, because one wouldn't even fit in the bed. A pallet of sod will push a 1/2 ton domestic's rear down to where the tire is almost rubbing. I'm pretty sure it would bend the frame of a Ridgeline and cause permanent damage, so I think you are completely FOS on this.
By trailer I should clarify - I don't mean a little UHaul, a Ridgeline is fine for that - I mean a horse or cattle trailer or a travel trailer. You can't tow an Airstream with a Ridgeline.

You'd be doing that with every other truck in its class as well.
I can't push the trucks beyond its mechanical limits. However, your post mentioned a lot of other bullshite besides just 2500 lbs of dirt.
I tow ~5,000 lbs. with no issues and I use the payload capacity within the design specifications of a truck. You're mentioning usages that would require an F-250 type truck and slamming the ridgeline for not being capable.
It's not difficult to be reasonable with your posting. For some reason, you've chosen to choke on a dick while posting at the same time.
