It depends. Undergrad was a breeze, rarely stressful at all. When it was stressful, it was because I fricked something up (as in, not going to class all semester and trying to find out when the final was and what the class was about).

Law school was legit stressful at times. But you do so much growing up between 18-24 or so that it's all relative. Hard undergrads and grad programs can be quite stressful for your 22 year old self, yet looking back you know you could now handle them with ease.

Meanwhile, in my job I'm rarely that truly stressed out, at least with any consistency, but I'm sure I couldn't even begin to handle it at 20.

In other words, you'll grow up and get better at handling shite.

Well I didn't go to school.

But so far this week:

I had to lay off 5 people that I didn't want to let go.

I have to plan on laying off 25 more before end of the year.

I informed all of my employees that there will be no raises or Christmas bonuses this year.

I had to tell a customer that their equipment repair was going to cost more than 400% of what they thought is was going to cost.

I had to give testimony as a subject matter expert for a deposition where two people were killed. 5 kids are without fathers. My testimony basically says that those two guys made short cuts that costed them their lives.

So you decide.

Did you struggle to park at any of the places you just listed?

That's when you know your struggle is real.

Studying for tests is more stressful than work but overall it evens out when you have real adult responsibilities.

School is stressful... very much so.

But work... while not always stressful, can lead to some heart attach inducing shite. Like when a contractor fk's some shite up on a job and everyone gets sued... or that puke inducing moment when you realize it might have been yourself that fk'd something up.

Much scarier that failing a test.

I agree engineering is a tough major but if you had time to study and prepare properly for test you could pass. Nothing like surviving a semester only to prepare your anus for another engineering core class. Looking back it was tough but I had good friends and I loved college. Working I think is just stress spread out over years unlike college where it was on every test. School was stressful but alcohol, girls, sports, etc . Just made good memories for me. Work is just work meh.

If college students would choose to study half the time they spend socializing and partying, they'd realize that college is a breeze for the most part.

Work life makes that choice for you and fills the other half with more shite to do.

tests , papers <== horrific for me, and the entire social-sexuality package... dating, commitment, will you marry me?

aside from the fact that work means a meal ticket, survival, school was worse on a daily basis.

Unless you have some dead end piece of crap job, no. Sales I assure you makes you stressed out since you're directly responsible for how much you make. Not like you can flake off for a couple of months and someone's not going to notice.

No. It's not even close. And if school is stressing you out that much, you should probably just end your life now.

Not even close.
I bartended and sold drugs through LSU, and even that was more stressful than school.

Then, you get out, get married, have kids, and die.

Enjoy it while you can. And take your time.
