Va Tech is dying faster than Tulane did to themselves on purpose in the sixties.

They thought they were too good for the SEC. It used to be such a great athletic program too. Tulane completely turned its back on New Orleans and its fans.

As an LSU fan. I have no interest in seeing Tulane join a Power 5 conference. If you're a blue chip player from Louisiana and you want to stay in state, you have to go to LSU to compete with the big boys. Don't want recruiting competition.

Afraid of a little competition for recruits? You probably also don't like seeing the "traditionally terrible" teams becoming really competitive either.

If Tulane ever got their act together and joined the Big 12 they'd be a much bigger threat there than they would be rejoining the SEC. And I don't mean Tulane itself would necessarily be the threat but I think other Big 12 teams could use it as a springboard to recruit LA

Nah, SEC should add Tulane, GT, and Sewanee, and Bama should get the death penalty to keep the conference from being over 16 teams.

I would love to see Tulane back in the SEC if/when we expand to 16 teams.

Logically though, it's not going to happen. NOLA is already an SEC TV market, and academics aren't going to overpower expanding the potential TV market.

the southeast isn't full of big tv markets. True, we offer nothing new in that regard, but we do have academics (not huge either) but we come with a big un

Superdome

It'll never happen, once you lose your stripes, that's it

Such a great logo. I bought a shirt with that logo several years back. At the home opener last year against GT, I got a hat with the Angry Wave. College logos used to be so much fun. Now we get shite like Toonces or the Nicholls M. Bison ripoff.

See we are already improving academics.

The logos are all blocks with the broad outlines and the text beneath.

All similar. Give me the old Tulane Green Wave, Sailor Hat Mike, and what-have-you. This current trend is terrible.

Tulane would be better than Vandy if they never left.
Considerably better. Picking up the scraps in LA is far greater then picking up the scraps in TN

Had they never left they wouldn't be just picking up scraps. Back then they got their fair share of the top guys in State. Under current situation, they're picking up ULL's scraps.

Ok, but we're forever little brother even if we come back

So let us back. We both need a rival, and I'm all for bringing back a little tradition
