If I were a restaurant owner at this point, I'd either pay for armed security personnel or have an armed officer at my restaurant.

Doubt they get caught. If its not a murder, NOPD dont care. And even then they just care a little.
We have a mayor and city council more worried about tearing down historic statues than working on the NOPD and keeping the tpos in line.

I would think that the thugs wouldn't want to rob customers at higher end restaurants like Patois and Atchafalaya since they are paying with credit card rather than cash (and cancel the cards right away). We need a Batman sort of figure in Nola.

I agree, the restaurants need to look into sharing a private protection service. Split it by neighborhood to share the costs.
