I'm pretty sure I have New Orleans playbook down pat.

1) Screen pass to Cooks
2) Screen pass to Spiller
3) Screen pass to Robinson
4) Colston drop

ETA: Nothing pisses me off more than the Saints and their screen passes. Its like he is playing fricking madden at rookie level every time.

Jarvis Landry will catch 90 balls too with about the same ypc at Cooks FYI and everyone agrees he's a possession guy. Cooks is too.

Yea, landry and colston are similar athletes if you take away all the explosiveness that cooks possesses

It was only luck that he was able to get behind those safeties.

In all fairness, most were against the Packers and Falcons.

bro when you average like 10 ypc that means you dont have elite NFL explosiveness the proof is in the numbers. gotta be able to break arm tackles to be explosive. can't run screen passes and go down on first contact and be explosive.

Numbers like a 4.33 40, a 3.81 20 yard shuttle and a 10.72 60 yard shuttle

Let's not leave out a 36 vertical too

Don't matter if you go down too easy.

Just trying to show that he's more than a possession guy. He did miss the last 6 games of the year. The last 5 games he played he averaged 13.58 YPC (Antonio Brown at 13.2 YPC on the season). The first 5 games he averaged 7.68 YPC.

Says a guy whose favorite team's offense consists of 98% checkdowns and 2% "Throw ball straight up in the air and hope Julio gets it".

I thought you compared him to Jarvis landry?

Going down easy seems like a trait of a vertical threat, not a possession receiver

Nah it's about 50% throw it to Julio, which is the right call

Their numbers will be nearly similar at season's end. Production wise they are really close. Landry will have more TDs, Cooks mabye SLIGHTLY better YPC. Both 85-90 grabs depending on health of course.

So now you've changed your narrative to Cooks may be explosive but he can't break tackles.

Brilliant

No sire, the narrative is that he's a possession WR because he'll be a guy that catches a lot of balls with a low yards per catch. THAT is what a possession WR is. If he could break tackles obv his YPC would go up. He can't so possession WR is what he is.

And yet Stills led the NFL, or came close to it, in YPC in 2013 while breaking an incredible 1 tackle all year
