BTW, three white dudes showing up unsupervised would be a red flag, but at least they'd have the opportunity to explain things. Oh my boss will be here, etc...

Know some folks in SLA that speak Cajun French......they don't speak English either. Crazy thing is, their ancestry was here prior to 1776 as well. So, whats this USA thingy?

OK this has to be answered you keep making an issue of what you are paying for the system so how many zones and what was your total price you were paying and maybe any other pertinent information?

That used to be Mexico, amigo.
If China came and took over are you going to start speaking Chinese?

They didn't want a deposit which I called to make sure. I thought a deposit would be good.
As someone also pointed out, and everyone can rage I didn't know 100% they were illegal. This dude was jacking me on the price. It's higher end of the spectrum for what it involves and he's using illegals. But I was paying for his knowledge and expertise and that wasn't on site

Sure but then you wouldn't have a licensed and insured company backing it that you could go to with issues. You also wouldn't have a trio of workers that put in systems day in and day out.
Not sure why you don't get this.
You are paying for knowledgeable labor...not just 3 random dudes off the streets. You call them unskilled but they do have a skill in installing sprinklers systems and know more than you ever will in that regard.

not true. the company you had chosen trusted their abilities and put them on task.
brah, I understand wanting the foreman there for project kick-off, but you've really been boneheaded.

I live in the United States, we speak English. I'm under no expectation to speak Spanish.
they weren't from Texas anyhow.

Yea this is what floors me. The company is licensed and insured and does this all the time so they know who they can trust and they obviously trusted these guys.
Guess OP knows more than them though.

The unsupervised no foreman part is all I object to
But as far as I knew these guys were doing the job with no foreman.
No one answered the phone. No one could speak English. You want me to put trust into someone who projects that level of u professionalism. He should've been there. Period. And I don't think he planned on it at all.
frick that. I don't care who you use, you're the expert, but I want the expert there

Was I in the wrong here?
Yes, but only because you didn't call Immigration authorities.
I would find another company.

Had they previously been on site and laid the system out/evaluated your property? Even so, those "illegals" are likely BETTER than he is.
You live in Texas and are indignant at illegals working here?! Dafuq?!

This thread could have worked well on political board too

My issue was the service not their immigration status
Anyway, I've spent way too much time stewing. I have someone else and it'll be tdone

Easy questions in English.
1. Did you have a contract?
2. Did you have some sort of layout of how things were to be zoned?
