I haven't lived there since 2006, but I'm moving back in a few months. Can't wait to clog my arteries with all the fine eateries of my home county. Greenbriar, Dubs, Whitts, etc.,

Probably so. For better or worse, my family has been there a long, long time. I don't know many people in Elkmont, Ardmore, or any of the real hillbilly places, but I know most folks in Athens or near the Elk or Tennessee Rivers.

I moved to California 6 years ago and have only been back south once. I don't have any family in limestone county so I haven't been there in at least 15 years...I would consider a trip for dubs though....that's a powerful burger.

Should you and your husband ever come, I'll gladly buy y'all some burgers and BBQ. You wouldn't believe how much it has grown in the past few years. Athens has around 23,000 people now.

I'd rather go to Cowbell, Luke, Superior Seafood, Beachcorner, Russells Marina Grill, Gs Pizza, Lakeview Harbor, Kozs, Dollys Deli, Port of Call, New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood, Cafe B, Cafe Navarre, High Hat, Pluckers, Bayou Hot Wings, Akasha, Phils Grill, should I keep going?

Company Burger is really good, but I prefer High Hat in NOLA. Akasha's burger is still my favorite. Whether picking it up for lunch/dinner or leaving Freds at 2:00am, Akasha's burger always delivered

Fair enough. I'm drunk and defensive. I've only had 5 Guys two or three times and can't quite recall my response. I do remember a whole frickload of fries in a bag, though.
