I did that, as well.

No.
Ever? Yes.
But since we are talkin' all I was saying is that most women are not going to be satisfied with a few days of milkshakes, and weenies will want to whine for a few days.
Not all women are high maintenance, so if the shoe don't fit, don't wear it!

Mom made a chilled asparagus soup one time that is to the day one of the best things I've eaten.
And since they're in season...something with avocados.

Such crappy generalizations.

I don't even know what this means.
But maybe I should ponder every sentence on a fast moving message board to make sure no one is offended?

My generalization would skew in the exact opposite direction...the average woman would follow the dr's orders and eat pudding, milkshakes, etc. Whereas, the average dude would assume that he's the exception to the rule and try to eat potato chips or a steak.
See what generalizations are good for...(not much)

Well, duh.

All four of mine were impacted and needed to be cut out, plus I'm not nearly as manly as some of the people on this thread, so I was on a smoothie diet for two or three days. I really didn't want "real" food and the cold was nice.

I'm not offended. What you said was sorta dumb as written.

Very nice of you. Thanks. The massive volume of idiocy that is typed here each day and you pick that out?
At any rate, let me rephrase:
Most women would probably want a bit more variety, and Weenies are going to complain no matter what you do, so....
For me, a few days of milk shakes would be all I'd want or need because milk shakes are great!
Or maybe I just needed more and so you'd know I was just clowning around?

All 4 of mine were impacted, but I was only 18 for that event and I had very little pain, fortunately. I lived on scrambled eggs and milk shakes.
Oral surgery was different. Bad pain and drugged for several days. I really didn't want to eat. I only ate to keep something on my stomach to keep me from getting sick when I took the pain meds. I was mostly comatose for the first 48.

Roommate back in college had jaw surgery and had his mouth wired shut for 3 weeks.he would dump a whole can of viaanna sausages in the blender with the juice.. And drink it with a straw

This isn't the interpretation because this isn't what you wrote. If the doctor told me to eat milkshakes for 3 days, I'd do it. If I were going to generalize, I'd say most men, who generally have larger appetites, would tire of soft foods pretty quickly.
I can't comment on the "weenies". I know from several experiences that dental procedures can be pretty painful. I had no idea the last one I had was going to take as long as it did for healing. I give people in pain a pass on complaining for a bit.

Well that is what I meant. I said milkshakes milkshakes milkshakes for me. I don't really get what the issue is.
At any rate I come here for a bit of fun and banter as well as info. I'm not spending a lot of time editing and pondering.
I apologize for my offending comments.
And if you are not offended then I really don't get it.

I'd go savory. I'd love to have a thick bisque, like you mentioned.
I had to eat "soft" foods for both my wisdom teeth and getting my tonsils out (got them out when I was older). I despise ice cream, and all of the dairy/sweets like smoothies, pudding, yogurt, etc. made me puke and wasn't very filling
Granted, I ate a burger on the first day (I found wisdom teeth to be a joke, and I got all 4 out and they were impacted.. yet I do know some people hurt more).. but still, a bisque or cheese-garlic grits would have been very satisfying.

Non solid food? Dooshay's brain. I'm pretty sure he's a waterhead.

I really wish this thread hadn't turned to shite. I've got a molar that has been making me miserable for 4 days now. Impacted wisdom tooth putting pressure on an adjacent tooth, and now it's infected. Got a Rx for Vicodin that's not helping and antibiotics. Appointment with the oral surgeon tomorrow.
Good recipes please.
