Red Sox reportably pulling out of Hamels pursuit because they the no trade list seems to be something that Hamels is being very adamant about sticking to. Seems to be the main concern with the Astros now as well.

I would think he's seriously questioning if the Red Sox can contend

I believe Hamels is trying to force his way to the Dodgers.

Would not surprise me. If Texas comes in with a big offer though (aka it includes Mazara) he can't do shite about it because he can't block a trade to them.

A Hamels/Darvish rotation scares me in Texas.

They would be pretty salty next year if they can stay relatively healthy

Will be be traded again? Or is he part of a post-Puig trade plan?

They asked what Lowrie's role will be when he returns and he said he will get most of the starts at third base, may occasionally give Correa or Altuve a day off, may even DH some. Said something to the tune of Marwin has looked good at first and then you get Carter hitting a huge bomb for us last night and it makes things more tougher on him as a manager trying to get enough at bats for the guys on the 25 man roster.

Said even if we don't make another move we have a good enough team with the addition of Kazmir we feel we can win now.

Jim Salisbury? With CSN Philadelphia says he expects Hamels next start with the Rangers. Says they are one of the teams Hamels can't block a trade and they have reportedly made a very strong offer with bigtime hitting prospects.

Just curious, if we are out of Hamels sweepstakes, would a package like whatever we offered the Phillies be able to bring in both Ross and Kimbrel as a backup plan? Seems the Padres are trying to make moves more aggressively now that the dust is starting to settle.

Not sure if I want this just curious.
