The writer considers our regional as one of the "cakewalk" NCAA Baseball regionals. Do you agree?

I certainly disagree. Tulane and UNC Wilmington are capable of giving us problems, especially if our pitchers do not return to their regular season performances.

quote:

Speaking of, the biggest "cakewalk" regionals went to: The Horned Frogs were joined by LSU, Miami and Louisville with the least interesting fields. Sometimes the big-time conferences have it too easy. These four teams should win their regionals in swift fashion.

I agree. It's a cakewalk. I give us an 80 to 90% chance of winning the regional.

Totally disagree.

Lehigh has shown they can upset top teams in the past and will surely give LSU trouble.

In case anyone forgot:

I agree. I just can't see us not winning this regional. Lehigh is garbage. We can pitch anyone and win that one. They have a 200+ rpi. Lange will smoke the Tulane/UNCW winner. And I don't see anyway one of them beats us twice.

Agree with that.

Everybody still playing is capable of giving host teams some problems, but it doesn't mean the previews can't pick the easiest looking regionals .

Keep in mind LSU hasn't lost 2 in a row all season

To be fair, LSU doesn't have to lose two in a row at any stage of the tournament to be bounced from it.

Did you just try to use a basketball event to justify the threat that a baseball team will present in the regional...

I mean we do have the #2 overall seed. Realistically we should have the second easiest path to Omaha.

Houston was by far the hardest #2 seed and should have hosted last year. This year that team would be C of C.

This. All of it. Is how I feel. This is absolutely a cakewalk regional. And we deserve it after the season we've had. If we lose this regional it'll be the biggest disappoint of the last four years and it's not even close.

I don't think LSU is a "can't beat" team, but I don't think Tulane has the arms this year and certainly not the bats. UNCW was dead two weeks ago but then got hot, but they are a pretty weak 2 seed. I'm thrilled Tulane is back in it, but I don't see them beating LSU. Hopefully we get back, because the baseball games in the early and mid 2000's were LOTS of fun.

yes this isn't a difficult regional

Lehigh the lowest RPI team in the tournament.
Tulane a team we dominated twice, now we didn't face their weekend arms who are good, but I like our chances with Lange against even their best weekend arm
UNC Wilmington has lived on the offense, they only have two good arms on their staff both out of the pen. It is likely our team will have a field day against them at the plate.

It's not a cake walk but I'm not concerned about winning this regional.
