I certainly disagree. Tulane and UNC Wilmington are capable of giving us problems, especially if our pitchers do not return to their regular season performances.

Everything is relative.

We have a very, very easy regional. Obviously, that's no guarantee of winning it (which sounds like is your operating definition).

I just don't think you are being realistic.

According to Boyd's World, we have the highest probability of advancing of any Regional:

I think that officially gives us the title of "easiest regional."

I've watched a lot of baseball at every level and I hope the LSU players don't have this attitude.

At least, we may assume that LSU players do not have time to read Tiger Rant...

Would have been a non-issue had Andy Cannizaro been there. Book it.

Fans have a short memory of 2012 and 2014.
Of course we should have won both, but it's baseball and all the variables that go with it such as coaching and players, etc.
I expect LSU to win the regional.
I'll reserve comment on the super regional because we need to get there first.
The last thing we need is a writer giving other teams motivation.

not one person in Louisiana expected to get clubbed by State U of NY at south long island yacht club or whatever their name really is. I did not even know they played D-1. as I recall, there was one game like a little league game 10-9 or something like that. could not get them out with runners in scoring position.

All the guys on all the teams can play baseball. You can't count on winning a tournament just because your individual players are better or because your league is better.

You have all heard MLB announcers talk about how often they see a play that they never saw before in their lives.

As much of a cakewalk as a regional can be.

Are you high? We got our assess handed to us. We were lucky that SB did not sweep us.

In football and basketball, superior depth and athleticism will eventually expose an overmatched opponent but baseball doesn't really work like that. Its never that much of a shocker when a team's bats go cold and they get bounced.

Is this commentary on the can of whoop arse that SB opened on LSU in 2012? Again, we were lucky to win one game of that series. To say "we should have won that series" is being willfully blind.

It's an undeniable fact that on paper LSU has the best opportunity to advance this weekend. IF all teams play to their expectations and level, then yes it should be relatively easy to get to the Supers. But obviously in the real world sometimes teams lay eggs and sometimes teams play out of their minds. Having an easy draw doesn't equal a guaranteed win.

This regional is different. SB had one of the best offenses in the country coming into LSU but little knew about them. We had Eades, Gausman and Nola pitching that year. They smashed all 3 highly drafted MLB pitchers...so stats didn't lie about that team coming in. They could swing and had several players drafted. Houston got screwed last year and should've hosted. We had arguably the hardest #2 seed in the regionals or definitely up there as one of the better teams.

These teams in this regional are not close to a SB or Houston. Sure, we can lose because it can happen anytime in baseball regardless how good your team is. It would take a massive failure and disappointment for it to happen. Bigger than Houston or SB. Man up and stop being a pussy. We'll be fine.

After the past two seasons, I do not overlook anyone. My guess is that it will come down to LSU versus Tulane with LSU winning three games to advance to Supers.

Its fricking baseball...any collegiate athlete can hit any pitcher on any given at bay....whether it be luck
.a bad pitch...whatever. Not like football where brute force and power dominates. Bats go cold...hitters can catch fire...there are no gimmies. So yes, from a talent standpoint, LSU should win this regional....however....they will have to play well throughout.
