Shae articleYeah, we'll never forget 1/9. However, this kid is the truth. When watching him, names like Peyton, Brees and Russel Wilson comes to mind.

The rest of the country will freak out if we get this kid onboard. They'll not admit it publicly, but this is the kind of Qb they have been concerned we might on day get, as we would be freakin amazing with him on the team.

Go get em, Frank, "O", Steele, Cam and Miles!

Shea profile

It says he is now 6' 2', so adequate for sure, Maybe he will grow another 1 - 2 inches to get to 6' 3" or 6' 4".

Height is not going to be an issue.

..."he could go down as one of the better quarterbacks Scout has seen in the last decade, a historical player."

whoa...I took a small except from the non-paying section, so I hope the quote is acceptable for showing.

His deep ball lacks velocity and has a flutter. He needs to get a bit stronger. Other than that he looks good.

Funny... I hate making this comparison, but Shea Patterson is what the Browns wish Johnny Manziel was now. A lot of Patterson's movement, mannerisms, and even delivery remind me of Manziel. Kinda makes you wonder if he hasn't patterned some of his game after Manziel. That said, Patterson's got a better arm and clearly is far advanced from a passing standpoint compared to where Manziel was in high school and at A&M.

Weird. I did not expect to see that much of a similarity. Maybe I'm going crazy.

+1 I hope we are both wrong. You have to be an NFL level starter to be successful in this offense.

If you know anything about profiles just about all of them fudge the truth in some matter of speaking. If he is listed as 6'2" on the profile my guess would be he is more like 6'0 1/2 to 6'1" inches. I am not saying that is guaranteed he might be 6'2" but if I were a betting man "and I am" I would put a little on it that he is not 6'2".

He reminds me a lot of manziel, including some of the negative. That being said, his future is much brighter than Manz.

He's a dual threat guy. I would link his Hudl highlights, but I'm on my phone. Not as gifted a runner as Manziel, but eerily similar style. I'm not a big Johnny Football fan which is why I say it's so weird that I'm making the comparison... but it's pretty obvious.

Again... unless I'm just going crazy.

So he's the next Jimmy Clausen/Matt Barkley?

Still better than what we've grown used to around here.

If he does come to LSU and doesn't start in his first game, the Rant will go nuts screaming about how he's getting screwed and Les and Cam don't know what they're doing and need to be fired!

Some people over there still think Stephen Rivers should be starting for us. Don't trust the rants opinion on much.
