If Miles plans to stay, wouldn't he dispell rumors for recruiting purposes?

Seems like he would dispell any rumors to not impact recruiting.

he will probably listen for a second.

See whats up
See if he can leverage more money out of LSU, as any red blooded american would do.

But this will happen within the week recruiting will be fine.

What rumors? No one has put out that he has been offered the job, or any reason yet to believe he is their #1 target. There isn't really anything to say.

there's not really much substance to the "rumors"

to answer your question, he could come out and say Michigan has not contacted me, and even if they did, I'm not going.

Why would he do that? That would be putting salt in his agent's game negotiating a raise.

Obviously , I now live in Montana so not like I know anything but my Dad told me that on Channel 9 last night that Jaques Doucet asked him about the Michigan job and all Les said was No Comment. Did anyone else see this and can confirm. My Dad is 81 and sometimes gets a little confused. Just asking?

He may take the opportunity to get some raises for his staff.

Because he'll just leverage the "rumors" for another 3 years and $4mil raise.

Alleva will of course bend over and give it to him.

Michigan hasn't contacted me yet about the head coaching job, but I'm planning a press conference to announce that I am not interested.

If he did come out and say something, then I'd be worried that he was leaving.

No he teaches his recruits how to be a professional and not listen to the media and sports talk radio. Hopefully they already have enough sense to not read this site.

Hackett and Miles are good friends. They are talking and Miles is listening. I don't think anything is going to become of it but Miles or any other coach would be a fool not to at least listen.

Interesting comment off of the Michigan board

I'll be pissed if the "big wigs" block the Miles move again. They screwed us the 1st time with it, now they could do it again. He's the best guy to turn it around right away if Harbaugh stays in the NFL.

Just because he hasn't talked to media does not mean he hasn't talked to his recruits. Not saying he couldn't be leaning one way or another just an observation.
