I hope you never have to experience someone screaming for the doctors to end it...

Doctors have been known to speed up death in these situations with high doses of painkillers, those frickers should be murderers right?

I don't think it's an either/or situation. She, along with her family, chose what was best for her (and them). That doesn't make it the right choice for everyone. She was advocating for people having the right to choose. She wasn't advocating that her solution be the only one.

Cowardice

There's that Catholic mantra I was raised on and heard so much of after loved ones took their own lives.

I'd bet a lot of money that many 'cowards' wouldn't have had the balls to pull it off under her circumstances, even if religious beliefs weren't a factor. It's a bold choice either way.

Of course they are brave. We all know that. But, their deaths are not described as such. Language is a powerful thing. I'd have not a single problem if they simply stated that she chose physician assisted suicide. "Death with dignity" "abbreviated the dying process" is what I have a problem with. I can concede that some may find her choice as a brave one. I do not. That is an agree to disagree thing. But, the language annoys the shite out of me.

Which is the definition of taking the coward's way out.

Painkillers are a cowards way out too, don't take them if you get cancer or get hurt at all.

Hurt your back, don't be a pussy deal with it, no tylenol or advil.

wanting your family to remember the good times and not having to carry her to baths, watch her have multiple seizures, and slowly watch you become bones is not a cowardly thing.

They were not rich so not wanting her family to take on incredible medical bills for a fight that isn't winnable is not a cowardly thing.

She ended it so her family was in a better position to only know the better times and not have to talk about the end and how helpless she was. She ended it so her family wasn't stuck in a terrible financial situation.

If shes in so much pain she wants to die how much sense does it make for her to keep putting her family in debt for something that she doesn't want anyway?

The people who are calling her a coward and selfish are the most selfish and narcissistic people possbile. You want someone to be miserable so you can delay having to deal with their death.

but im out anyway. minds wont be changed

Don't believe you in the slightest. You probably pussied out and couldn't enter the room if you even have known anyone to die this way.

I have too. A very proud man in my family who was always independent and took pride in providing for the family was absolutely humiliated and embarrassed the way I had to wipe him/Bath him/ etc his last few months. But screw personal dignity, if you don't allow me to wipe shite off you after the enema I gave you because the drugs won't allow you to shite normally you are not appeasing people who have their definition of what dignity is.
