All of the above mentioned are good if not great options...
However, stay away from Jubans. It is not on par with any of these places except for with cost.

Thanks for the replies. My wife is craving soft shell crab so I'm leaning towards Juban's this trip. Mansur's is on deck for the next trip.

ETA: From comments in a previous thread on here and yelp reviews I don't plan on having a steak at Jubans.

People can say what they want, but that Hallelujah Crab is a fine thing. Your wife will enjoy it again. If they have trout or pompano get it. You will be happy as well.

And if you change your mind, the Po-Boy Express at Perking and College serves up a good softshell. No shite.

I thought something similar about the name. Have no idea behind the "Jolie" part. I get the "Pearl" of course, but Jolie Pearl is a terrible name.

The owners are embracing the history of the location, and it's located in the old Jolie building. Not a bad name at all. I think it's perfect.

I haven't been since the night of my DUI in 2011 (ahhh, memories), but a friend wanted to take me out for my birthday and I wasn't about to argue.

I find it overpriced, but I wasn't paying Only got raw items, which helps.

They had toro

It is a shitty name. People don't even know how to pronounce it. I like all the guys involved and I will go several times to support them.

Didn't know about the history of the building, but I still think the name sucks.

I've been to Mansurs and Jubans multiple times over the past few years and both have been hit-and-miss. With the exception of their chargrilled oysters and small portion sizes (particularly on their rabbit spaetzel), my meals at Beausoleil have àll been good. Still, my favorite 'upscale' place in town is Maison Lacour.

FWIW, Tsunami does have a brand new manager who seems to really be trying -- hopefully he can right the ship.

Another good thing about Ninos is that on the website he tells exactly how to make each of the pastas, so it's very easy to replicate them at home

I think the name is ok as well, especially for the trendy yet pretentious clientele they'll likely be catering to.
