Posting up 3 pts last night on offense vs MSU in non-garbage time, is hardly "competitive"

Should should be understood as a mandatory word. But CLM does not operate under that understanding. So "might" might be a better way of expressing your point. Except when have we ever, in 10 years, seen Les Miles make needed, immediate changes in his schemes and general football worldview after being kicked by somebody?

You keep saying Miles inherited this great program. When miles was hired n the lsu program had lost less than 3 games ONCE since 1987. Get a grip on reality. Miles didn't inherit some top 5 program.

do you realize the talent that was on the team that miles inherited?

are you implying that our 2000 team had the same level of talent? yes or no

Its called reality. There isn't a coach coming through the door that gonna make lsu the best program I'm cfb because no program stay on top for long it's crazy that you want to get rid of the coach that has made LSU the most consistent program over the last decade. in the last 5 years there have been 4 teams that have won at least 9 games every year .Lsu is one of them. Get a grip on reality. There are programs with far more pull and pedigree that are horrible right now .
Texas, USC, FLORIDA. No programs runs itself.

No recognize, it's football. You are not going to win every game. Inferior teams win games over more talented better coached football teams weekly. In every sport at every level.

It happens more rarely for LSU than it does almost anywhere. It happens even to Saban, your standard bearer.

no

but it was not close to the same level that he left

that's why it was a comparison

It wasnt close to the talent that our 2011 team had. Also in the early 2000's the sec west was no where near as strong as as it is now.the FACTS say miles inherited a 3 loss program that had lost less than 3 games once in almost 20 years. I dont care how much talent you think it had. Why was Miles able to come in and do better than Saban with Saban's players. Miles came in and lost 1 regular season game. So if that talent was so good, why was your lord and savior not able to win the national title

2006/07 LSU would beat 2011 LSU

and i said as much in 2011

2006-2007 did not have as big of a positional flaw as 2011 an its QB. both Ds would have shut down the O, like Bama did

of course you don't, because it hurts your argument. that's a perception bias

you don't just build an elite program with 1 recruiting class. it takes a few years to get the reputation in recruiting to get OOS studs like jamarcus, bowe, etc

saban did win a national title at LSU. in 2003

The level of consistency that Miles has had at lsu is unrivaled ij today's cfb. Our worst season 8-5.
No west team has more division titles. Auburn (the 3rd best team in the division over that time) has went to 3 coaches and had a winless sec record. I dont think new lsu fans understand how hard it is to win the sec west in the last 11 years 8 sec west team have played for a bcs title. Since miles' hire , no program has more wins and he's done it in the hardest conf division in the history of cfb. it's truly amazing.

like i said last night

miles sacrifices our ceiling by playing so risk-averse. this gives us a slightly higher floor

the goal is to win titles, though. not win morality medals like consistently not winning titles, but not being terrible

What? Youre crazy. 2006 Lsu could nt beat 2006 auburn.
2007 lsu lost to two unranked teams. You are out out of your mind if you think either of those teams could move the ball consistently on 2011 lsu.
The only time 2011 lsu off was slowed down was by two top 5 defenses. 2006 wasn't close. 2007 may have a chance if it was played before Dorsey ' s injury

2006 was a better team than 2007...we just had to go on the road @AU and miles called that game like a scared bitch

2011 had no QB

2006 LSU would just "Bama" that team, b/c 2011 LSU would not do shite against the 2006 LSU defense

no, you are wrong. i want attention to detail, process and performance. i want very good on the field discipline, player and game management plus good preparation. you think we have gotten that?

i want a guy who will go down swinging. You think miles did that on 1-9? really?

Miles can go 7-6, 7-6 as long as that 3rd year he wins the sec. i could not care less about overall wins. I WANT HARDWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I have said this many times.

let's all remember that miles quit in that game

he punted instead of going for it late in the game when we needed to go for it

he'd rather lose close than try to win and possibly lose by a larger margin. this is the guy they are defending..the guy who quit on 1/9
