we know that our coaching staff under miles will not change unless we lose. if we go into games with inferior, simplistic gameplans and eek out wins against crappy teams, things will never change. true tiger fans (TTF) understand this when we win, but rantards cannot understand this

games like last night are necessary. sometimes you need to get the shite kicked out of you to realize just how bad your scheme/gameplan is

it's kind of like an internal cleansing. the violence of the arse beating should metaphorically knock out the inferior variables

rantards, please do not be ignorant and claim that the criticism of miles has not been consistent. TTF criticized him for the same things in 05/06 that they are criticizing him for now. there are only slight changes (like how he used to keep players for their eligibility but now he pushes them to leave early when recruiting them)

so don't falsely interpret these discussions as a celebration that LSU lost. if the horrible arse beating of last night didn't wake you up, these conversations are supposed to do that. and yes, these are teh same discussions because yes, miles is still miles'ing up LSU

It happened in 2012 with Florida. No way we beat South Carolina or aTm if that loss doesn't happen.

I agree.

Last night I realized that Les Miles is a lucky idiot that has had the advantage of an unlimited budget since before he got here. I'm done with my support for him. The game has passed by him.

Dude it isn't just about the gameplan. The difference in talent on the lines was obvious.

then that just moves the discussion to a larger one about program/roster building and our ability to gameplan around our recruiting/development failures

YES. Great fricking post. My feelings exactly. I can't cheer against LSU ever, but the good side in all of this is that a loss for LSU is a loss for Miles. Just like a lucky squeaker of a win for LSU is a win for Miles. THe chickens are finally coming home to roost for his poor decision making.

Other programs recruit players to fit the scheme. I don't see that with Les. it's a grab bag.

I don't know where to post this, but I will put it here.

True coaches don't celebrate escaping wins over mediocre teams. Compare this press conference with Miles press conference after beating Ole Miss in 2012 thanks to Beckhams punt return, "wow, what a game!"

Spurrier last night

Yes, it does. The primary reason we lost this game is that we couldn't match the interior of their defensive line. Preston Smith is an absolute beast and he is more talented than any lineman we have on either side of the ball.

LSU used to be the team with the Preston Smiths. WTF happened?

Exactly. WHY the hell can MSU recruit better linemen than LSU when we're closer to elite talent and have an elite budget when they don't? That's an even bigger fail than scheme to me. Failing to evaluate and develop talent is worse than having a shite scheme IMO.

especially when you have a young team. Hopefully last night will wake up the players and coaches and we rock out the rest of the season.

Atleast the rantards are good for a laugh.

In the running for a title every three years
