This is about as dumb of a statement as I have read on here.

It's an unacceptable situation to have only 2 scholarship QB's on the roster in year 10 of the Miles regime. (And one of the two a true freshman) If Jennings goes down with an injury, the season is over because it's obvious Harris isn't quite ready. Third teamer Jared Foster is already injured. Is Brandon Bergeron still on the team?

Yeah I mean it's almost like we had two back ups leave.

What? If they improve and get a lot better, how would you describe them then? No, they aren't great, not even close. They have a lot of potential. Jennings is basically serviceable right now. He's still just a sophomore, so that's not an insult.

Oh, for shite's sake, calm down. Context is your friend, you dingleberry.

Harris ran back to the sideline between almost every play against SHSU to get the play. Sometimes it looked like he was over there for more than just the play call, like he had to have it explained.

Hopefully it'll come for him though. Contrary to what most people think, I believe Les and Cam are handling his transition well.

However the people who think Harris needs to start should pay more attention to the positives and negatives of both QBs. We're better off with Jennings than most think.

The O line is another story...

Harris is coming along slowly and its fine. I called that we would not be in great shape If he had to start game one. He has as the tools and will be a great qb with more reps.

He only played four years of organized football before he enrolled. In high school he didnt take snaps from under center and they didnt call plays in the huddle. Plays were called in By number and he didnt have to Read defenses or audible. Harris Just needs more time and practice with the basics and he will be good.

Going from high school to a semi-pro league at QB is a bigger leap than anyone here can understand.

If you think they each look like great QBs, what adjective do you use for guys like Manning or Elway?

To be fair, a redshirt junior and a redshirt freshman transferred away from the program this offseason. It sucks, but the team went from good depth to no depth pretty quickly.

Looking at how "ready" Harris is, can you see why they might be a bit peeved at being placed 3rd on the depth chart behind him?

You are judging Harris based on a few plays? Maybe you should check out how Rivers has done at Vandy

I would like to see both play. About 15 years ago we had 2 QB's about equal in talent,I can't remember their names, but the coach[before Miles] played the 2nd QB a series or two every 2nd Q'ter and 3'rd q'ter. Maybe one series in the 4th. After 8 games the starter got injured and the 2nd QB had to play. He was ready with 16-20 series experience and played well the rest of the season. His parents lived across the street from me then, they later moved. That's why I say play both, but Harris a little less right now.

Hodson and Guidry? Late 80's.
