I went to the beach this weekend. I left work early Friday to head to beautiful Orange Beach, the home of Florabama. On the way, I grabbed a double Beam with a splash of diet for the road.

After bypassing Mobile, I stopped for some snacks and a tall boy.

The combos tasted like all of the others I've had. They were not very good. They had a small hint of buffalo flavor. I was extremely disappointed with the Nesquik. I didn't even finish it. With a Samoa flavor, they better knock it out of the park. They swung and missed.

Upon arrival, I threw on my trunks and hit the beach. After several drinks and relieving myself in the Gulf, I walked into the Florabama for a Bushwhacker. I went to the little girls room and I realized I was in Alabama.

I then returned to the beach to play some bocce and fly a kite. I then showered and continued to pound the Beam.

For dinner we went to this place called gulf. I left my phone at home so no pics were taken. The front of the place resembles stacked storage containers. It's open air dining, and you place an order at a window. Here's a pic I found online.

I ordered another beam, a fried grouper sandwich and burrata. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food was not amazing. My sandwich reminded me of the Filet-o-Fish, which I do enjoy but not at $12. The burrata was also chewy. I'd go back since the area lacks decent restaurants.

After a few more drinks, I passed out. I was up at 6 and the first game day bourbon was poured at 630. When I began pouring my second, I decided to make some breakfast. We'd have bacon, fried eggs and biscuits.

The biscuits were made from a recipe from the LA Republican Women's cookbook. It was based upon Popeyes. They were money.

I then gathered my thoughts and headed to the beach with a handle of bourbon. After taking on the waves, I returned to the condo to make a sandwich. You can't make a sandwich without potato chips. This is America.

I stayed inside for a while to pre-drink for the game. I then walked to the Florabama to talk shite with several SEC fans. There are some true idiots in our conference.

We then grilled for the game. I knew it was going to be a one sided victory because double rainbows appeared.

The meal was decent, but the burger was cooked too much. Guy in charge must have had too much to drink. I'll allow it.

After dinner, I went back to the Florabama. They were having a rodeo there this weekend. Cowboys and cowgirls everywhere! The Affliction shirt and cowboy hat look was coming in hot. I decided to show some of the fools how to ride. I lasted about 5 seconds. I even had a few fans. One came and took a pic with me. I think she was into me.

I didn't seal the deal with her and returned home. I got up early to clean and cook.

They had some beast surfing the gnarly waves.

After polishing off the last of the bourbon, I headed home. I became a little hungry and decided to pull off. I got a hot dog with chili and cheese. I was pissed they didn't have onions, but they did have some hot sauce. It was a very good all beef gas station hot dog.

I was rushing to get home for the Saints game. I also had to go to work after the game, so I didn't have time to cook lunch. I called in Mikimoto for pick up. I got escolar carpaccio and rainbow roll. It was perfect. It was just what I needed to deal with that horrendous game.

I'll be headed back to Peche this weekend. I'm hoping to get some cobia neck. The pics online have been ridiculous.

Until next time, stay fat my friends.

I heard the Gulf had good burgers. I was there last week and had some good meals at Cosmos, Cobalt, and Lillians pizza.

I also realized I haven't had Nesquik in probably over a decade.

I used to rock the shite out of their strawberry milk. Might go get one to bring back the memories.

Keep em coming bro. I couldn't make it through mondays without living vicariously through you.

And oh, I know that dude that signed the ladies room wall at Florabama. Dad would be so proud.
