That's the awesomest review of a Lexus ever.

Who buys cars anymore? Bicycles are such a better investment. No gas. No maintenance. Take the bus to work.

You don't get rich by spending thousands of dollars on a liability that depreciates.
But you do by spending $45k on a car?
You can get a very good 1 y/o sedan for $15k less that will be cheaper to maintain.

Thanks. I tour the country letting them know the error of my ways so they don't make the same mistake. I'm like the Scared Straight of vehicles.

My boss makes about $400K per week and leases an Audi S8 and Porsche 911 Turbo S, about $350k total for both cars. I'll tell him this board thinks he's bad with money.
You mean your bosses company leases an Audi S8 and Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Considering the list is primarily luxury vehicles, I think it is clear that there are more factors here than just price and reliability. The quality of the experience needs to be taken into account too.

That was my point.
ETA: My vehicles are so old than I can work on them myself, especially the truck. Got both of them for less than 8k. The daily driver doesn't even use gas, I am able to produce fuel for about $1.20 a gallon.

That's awesome.
However, I am a city boy.

I'm too poor to know what a Lexus is like but I'll review a 1999 Hyndai Accent if you insist.

Yes, accelerated deprecation if the car is over 4000 lbs. I believe. Point is that people have different circumstances so the OP getting knocked for his question was a little ridiculous I think.

Would you sacrifice a few thousand miles and a few years for a superior luxury vehicle?

Vaguely, yes.

Interesting observation: The richest person I personally know drives a 2001 Chevy Silverado with 300k miles on it.
Granted, he lives in the Sierra Nevada mountains for 2-3 months a year where he has two newer vehicles.
eta: I'm not hating on the OP. If I had a $200k/yr of steady income like you guys, I'd probably splurge for a nice car.

Then I'd go with a 2010-2012 M3 or an S class, with my preferences.

Hyundai Genesis and equus are great cars, I've owned both and I've loved each one
