Yeah well the reason for that is you have these dumbass celebrities like Paris Hilton and Kim kardashian that would never be able to drive a straight shift.
Technologically the f1, egear, etc may be faster but driving a stick shift is fun.

I've owned an E36 325is. Most fun I've ever had behind the wheel of any car. Don't get me wrong, I know how good BMWs are. The control weights are perfect, the engine is soft butter and it's a lovely place to be, but they aren't the only good cars out there.

I hear you. Other manufacturers can compete with the stats, but there are immeasurable engineering subtleties that really make a difference, well at least to me. I guess that's all that matters.
