unless I know that I'm going to a craft beer party, I generally always just bring my own beer

That's definitely a perfect analogy.

I know it is. You offer me a beverage. Budlight or coco cola. No thank you, I prefer to have water over both.

how is it snobby to not drink something that you do not like?

He likes beer. He just really likes craft beer. He used to drink BMC. Refusing to drink a bud light would be like insisting on a craft soda instead of a coke.

The only time I feel particularly snobby is when LNCHBOX is around.

I drink bud light all the time. I'm simply saying that turning down a bud light is not snobby. It's comparable to turning down a soft drink.

I get more and more amazed the someone married you with every post.

You can be. Not as bad as some others here

What I think is funny is people admit in this thread to being snobs, then I say yes that's snobby, and now I'm being asked why it's snobby.

In the context of the post I responded to, I think it is.

so if I like Dr. Pepper, and I'm somewhere that does not have Dr. Pepper, only Coke and Pepsi, am I being snobby if I just drink water?

Not really the same, because all of those would be equivalent to the BMCs of the world.

You do understand that people that like craft beer may not like all craft beer, right? Some people just don't like bud light. So why drink it?

it is the same though

it just a personal preference thing dealing with taste

the only time I think someone comes off as snobby is when they act like they are better or above whatever that something might be

and I'll certainly admit that I do act like that on occasion about certain things
