Of course I could name about 6 areas of N.O. you would probably like.
If I had to pick another area it would probably be in old town Covington or on the lake in Old Mandeville.
Whatever keeps you away from trash and rednecks.

Well if you're gonna pick a town in south louisiana based on political beliefs then your options are limited. You can live on the Northside in Lafayette. I heard they love them some Obama.

Go with NOLA. Lafayette gets old after a while. Especially if you are single.

If you can afford it (putting kids through private school, housing costs, etc...) I'd choose Uptown/Garden District of New Orleans.

I don't have kids. I could see garden district working.

What's the allure of Lafayette? Seems a little too small and conservative for my liking.
Please do not move to lafayette. Your kind is mot welcomed there.

Same here.
Lakeview is a nice neighborhood. When I think of parties or food, I don't think of Lakeview.

Have we determined if powerman wears affliction/tapout, white sunglasses, and 3 lbs of grease in his hair?
If so... Laffy is your mecca.
edit: I forgot to add if he was a man of a short stature with an overinflated sense of self worth.
