I love vouchers, but I think all they will do is put the kids who have parents that don't care in the same school.

That's a good thing.
i'll put it another way
let's devote our efforts and resources into those who want to participate in the modern economy/ culture, while not wasting them trying to save and change those who rebel against the modern economy/culture

just so I don't assume anything, what type of elementary school did you attend?

Everyday actions continuously contradict the idea that low-income black families don’t care about their children’s schooling,
Well only if one discounts the everyday actions like being impregnated by multiple men whom they'll never marry and who won't be involved in their children's lives?

At the other end of your fathers belt.

frick. its like a cancer in society.
Do they ever wonder why poor immigrant asians and hispanics outperform them?

Don't be ridiculous.
The person who wrote this article does not believe that blacks are equal to the rest of us.

I don't think so. If I was a single black woman in New Orleans waiting in a hot arse line to put my kids in school, I would say - f this- I'm moving to the most lilly arse white neighborhood in Vermont - get a job- don't get a job, but welfare there has to be better then in the 504.

This is the position I've come to accept, though it will never happen.

When over 70% of black children are born without a father around, how can throwing money at the problem help?
Until the majority of black people realize that having children the way that more than 70% of them do, is the problem! it'll never change.
You don't have to be educated to know it is wrong and stupid.

Not necessarily. People like to make jokes about "snitches get stitches", but it's a stark reality in the hood. The gangbanger will be back on the street in a couple of days and the snitch gets capped.

Those who disagree with this point think lowly of black people and should be shamed for their racism.
Black people are equal to the rest of us and should be treated as such.

Depends on the category measuring 'equal'. Blacks and Hispanics have lower IQs than whites and Asians. Of course, this has nothing to do with parenting or culture. But lower IQ limits the spectrum of future occupations. IE, if your IQ is 90 and you work very hard you will still never become a surgeon.

It's just the opposite. If you are born human you are born totally unequal unless you have an identical twin. It's called genetics.

Regarding the topic of this thread, everyone who isn't mentally disabled is 100% capable of things like not having children, not killing people, not breaking into homes, etc. If you think that blacks are less capable of these things than others are, you are a very racist person.
