No. And I switched from Geico to State Farm last year and had similar savings. Homeowners just went up drastically though.

They need to increase their profit margins.

They are a mutual company(have no stock holders)...I worked for them in Monroe and will be getting a small pension from them in about 25 years, IF they are still around.

Switched from State Farm almost two years ago, when their rates went way up for me. Saved about $100 a month.

They are just trying to discriminate against the libetards like your beloved IRS does against the tax payers.

My dad's health insurance went up 400% thanks to the ACA. He's a bit more outraged than you are.

Good for you. But they are a tPOS insurance company. Their profits come on the back of fricking people over.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., the largest U.S. home and car insurer, said 2012 profit quadrupled as claims costs declined at the unit providing residential coverage.

Net income for the year increased to about $3.2 billion from $800 million a year earlier, the Bloomington, Illinois- based company said today in a statement. Claims costs at the home unit fell to $13.5 billion from $15.4 billion.

I hear it from body shops all the time - You'll like that State Farm if you ever get in a wreck.
US Agencies & Geico - PITA to get claims going.

Been a State Farm customer for over 35 years without an accident claim, and this is how I get treated. I'll be shopping around.

Anyone with State Farm car insurance is a schmuck.

Yep. I see people every day so worried that SF is going to drop them. I don't understand the brand loyalty to insurance. Think they really GAF about you?

I left them for the gecko.

I've been with Geico for years and not once has a competitor been able to match or beat their prices. Just the same, my rates went up 6% this year and when I asked why, I was told, "The company has decided to increase its rates in certain markets." That's bullshite, but even so, with the increase, Geico is still considerably less than the other companies I've had bid on my business.

I've worked for independents and State Farm. The independents go up every six months and State Farm goes up every few years (unless rating factors change).

State Farm does seen to be a little higher but their rates are way more stable.

Mine goes up every 6 months no matter what, but for some reason this round was a little more painful.
