Mizado is terrible. Loud loud terrible music. They put some sort of foam on the margaritas. There's no reason to do that to a margarita. I didn't enjoy the food at all.

You're in the minority. There have been some solid endorsements of it on here lately.

I like the food at Mizado but the drinks are definitely way too expensive. $10 for a stemless wine glass of Sangria is a rip-off when I can go to Lola's and Barcelona Tapas and get a big pitcher for not much more. Casa Garcia's Sangria is a lot cheaper too.

ETA: The margs at Mizado are probably some of the best I've ever had, but they're small.

I went right after they opened. In that case I may need to give it another shot. The noise level was truly unbearable. It was like a night club. We sat at the bar and couldn't hear each other. I still don't get why they don't have salt for margaritas and insist on putting foam on it. The sangria was good. But not as good as mine.

In all fairness, I've never been there. As for sangria, it's never going to be as good as what I make (or, apparently, what you make). It's on my list of places to go. I've heard pretty good things.

on Saturdays, taco laqueaux parks outside dos jefes. Dos jefes has happy hour on margaritas from 5-7. they make a real margarita with lime juice and agave nectar. Then walk outside and get two carnitas tacos for $7.

What get's me in is how the salsa taste with the complimentary chips and salsa. If a place charges you for chips in salsa no way I'm going.

You would be amazed at how many of the grease and cheese lovers feel this way for real.

All about the chips and salsa baby!!

Better like salt, brah. Taco Loqueax makes the saltiest tacos I've ever had. They had a real fanboy following for a long time, but that seems to have slacked up recently.

How have you never been to TL brah ? They are in the neighborhood on a regular basis. Dos Jefes, 45 Tchoup, Kingpin. A few tacos can be salty at times but the truck is ok in my book. If you see avocado fries on the menu get em, best food truck item I've had in the city. I eat at the truck often.

Also TL was featured on Bourdain's Layover show. Donald Link took him to the truck.

Yes. You wouldn't like it since it's a dive, but since BO likes it you probably will too.

I mostly go for lunch during the week so I stick with 3 tacos. They have about 10 different protein options. Corn tortillas, onions, and cilantro. They give you a red sauce and a green. The green is fire hot. The enchiladas are some of my all time favorites and is enough for two meals. Pupusas have been hit or miss and the breakfast dishes are good if you like that type of thing. Telumundo, limes in ice tea, and Latinos. All things you will find in a good taqueria.
