It gets on my nerves when fans blame a player that their club signed for not being sold to club they don't want. Roma fans do it with Marco Borriello when it's hardly his fault the previous owners signed him to huge contract and he's been nothing but professional.

I hear you. I'm a fan of Borini. I like his attitude a lot. He's got fight in him, and I still think he has a place in the club.

For his wages, I have no problem keeping him at the club and seeing what happens.

I would prefer a loan move purely to get him more Playing time and adjustment to the PL. However, he is our fourth striker at the moment, and one injury and we'll need him for a bit of depth. I don't think he'll ever be a star, but he could become someon that provides a lot of depth and be a part time starter at this level.

That being said, in the next few years, Lambert will be gone and Borini can fulfill part of his role - something Origi can't do. So I think there's still some room there, but he needs to develop - something he can't do not even sitting on the bench with us.

He's certainly impressed fans/managers every step of the way with his effort.

I hope he does have a part to play in Liverpool.

If not, I don't blame him for trying to make it nor for insisting on a move to a better long term destination than QPR or back to Sunderland.

Liverpool keeps adding quality players up top so I wouldn't be surprised if Borini doesn't really ever gain a regular spot.

However, I do think he could make the regular rotations of much better sides than QPR. In Italy, for example, I think he'd play a lot at clubs as important as Inter, Fiorentina and Napoli.

Yea my only concern is hurting his development because he is still pretty young. I would have liked him to be further along and better prepared to contribute, not that he can't. He can still help because of his work rate and things he does off the ball, which honestly is fine for me as a 4th striker, especially if he's playing with Lambert or in a counter attack system.

I really hate the international break, this early into the season... especially coming out of a WC summer... booooo!

I hope we get to see the same back line against Villa next match... I think these 4 are out future..

I wouldn't mind seeing a Balotelli/Borini pairing at some point this season... mama mia!!

edit: Also, you never know with Borini... We were ready to ship Hendo out to Fulham and he refused and stayed to fight for his place... Now, he is a future captain, in waiting..

I guess it's good to have a break to help our guys with slight knocks to recover. But after the Tottenham match I just want to watch more Liverpool football! 3 league matches is such a tease!

Its miserable. Especially because I only marginally care about the national team.

I think that pairing would work really well. Imagine the space Ballo would have to operate in.

This. That backline started to move well together late in Tottenham match. They are young and relatively inexperienced, but now that we are past City and Spurs, I'd like to have them play regularly and develop as a unit. Maybe add Skrtel when he returns to form, but I liked the Manquillo, Moreno, Sakho, and Lovren line.

Everything I see is he "felt" something. That sounds more likely to be a muscle pull type thing than an ACL tear, but I haven't seen any other real details.

If it wasn't contact related, you have to hope for just a little muscle pull, etc.

That sucks! Though we definitely have the personnel to go with only 1 central striker now... even more so with Lallana back..'

I hope it isn't too serious..

Thanks, but I guess its also the "felt something" thats giving me hope. It wasn't "crumpled to the ground and stretchered off". The two combined thoughts helped, but obviously you're just out to dash all 'Pool hope

I hate international breaks, meaningless international friendlies, and the English national team, but most of all, I hate Roy Hodgson

nah, i'm just saying don't be surprised if it is ACL. just b/c it was non-contact doesn't mean anything.

i think i read it was a thigh injury although i don't think any official news has been announced.
