I'm reading a few places that it is a thigh injury, and not a knee, which allows me to relax a little.

No Doom and Gloom

ETA: While I hate the thought of Sturridge being out, I do like that this will give Coutinho, Lambert, Borini, Markovic, and Lallana some playing time during EPL fixtures and allow BR to experiment with formations to match his talent in play.

Hearing that Hendo is in the starting XI for the game vs Switzerland. Bad idea if thats the case. Remember what happened last time he missed time for that straight red.

This sums up my feelings.

And for the next two years, they’ll be helplessly trapped in the Hodgson-ness of it all, bound to an unimaginative and archaic idea of what football can be by a 67-year-old company man who is never won anything of any consequence in his life.

One has to believe that Brendan has been in Roy's ear. If anything happens, you have to think BR will vilify Woy to no end. He should at least...

Thoughts on the line-up for this weekend?

I'm thinking we have to go 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

----------------Mig

Manquillo---Lovren---Sakho---Moreno

----------------Gerrard

--------- Henderson------Allen

Sterling--------------------Lallana

----------------Swag

Flip it to a 4-2-3-1 as needed, or to a 4-4-2 diamond with Lambert coming on if we're down or tied after '65.

I think we'll score a few on them but I worry about Henderson, Sterling, etc just playing today.

I would love to see a 4-3-3 with the same back line as you... A midfield 3 of Stevie, Hendo and Coutinho... Balo in the middle with Sterling and Markovic on wide..

I'd def like to see Lallana at some point...

The best defense is a good offense right? Haha

The last time we played a 4-2-4 was last season against.......

Villa.
And we lost.

I like Coutinho as a CM and think he's come a long way defensively... I don't think he's done anything to deserve sitting on the bench for the second straight match.. I can see Joe Allen being the third MFer and moving Phil out wide for Lazar... But I'm not as big a fan of him in that position...

Since villa is ahead of us in the table I hope we take it to them and come out strong rather than seem disinterested.

Hope they have shaken the rust off Swag and got him up to speed on Rodgers movements. I think he scores the first of many at Anfield this weekend

I'm seeing every number under the sub. I wish we had a more solid idea of how long.

Damn the injury bug is not being kind to us. Glad we have that depth. Looks like a few guys who sat the first few matches will be playing out of necessity for a few weeks.
